🌟 Employee Highlight - Sikh Heritage Month 🌟
This month, we’re celebrating Sandeep, a dedicated Registered Practical Nurse at Forestview for 2.5 years. Her journey into nursing was inspired by a desire to combine medical knowledge with genuine human connection. In senior care, she knows it’s not just about treating illness—it’s about caring for the whole person, each with their own unique story.
Sandeep’s work is guided by Sikh values like Seva (selfless service) and Sarbat da Bhala (well-being of all). These principles inspire her to treat every resident with equal respect, compassion, and dignity. Her days are filled with clinical care—medication administration, wound care, vital signs—but what sets her apart are the meaningful moments in between: checking in, offering reassurance, and making sure residents feel seen, heard, and supported.
💬 “The most rewarding part of my work is seeing residents feel better—whether through clinical care or simply being there in a moment of need.”
One experience that stays with her is comforting a resident anxious about a health change. By taking time to sit, listen, and offer support, she eased their worries—proving that the most powerful care is human connection.
✨ Three words that describe her work: Healing. Humility. Dedication.
Her advice to aspiring healthcare workers: ❤️ “Never lose your empathy. The skills can be taught, but caring from the heart is what makes a great nurse.”
Thank you, Sandeep, for your incredible dedication and for making a meaningful difference every day. đź’™
