I’ve been getting questions if in-person therapy is better for somatic approaches. Truthfully virtual or in-person both have their advantages depending on what an individual is needing.

🌟 Benefits of a Somatic Approach
* Unlock your body's innate wisdom in therapy through expressive arts, mindfulness, dance/therapy approach

* Move beyond just talking to embrace deep-rooted emotions and beliefs.

* Inhabit your body fully, fostering change and self-discovery.

* Embrace mind-body integration for a profound sense of well-being.

🌈 Benefits of In-Person Sessions:
* Foster profound co-regulation with your therapist for nervous system support.

* Engage in hands-on physical tools and trauma-informed practices.

* Experience profound emotional processing, transcending verbal limitations.

💻 Advantages of Online Therapy:

* Access transformative therapy from the comfort of your space.

* Explore emotions and sensations through adapted movement and expressive therapies.

* Achieve integration of body and mind, no matter your location.

* Increase a sense of safety in how you express vulnerability to increase your own confidence

Happy Equinox Blessings!!

What seeds are we planting for the new cycle? In this intense time on Mother Earth, what kind of garden are we planting? We have an opportunity to plant seeds of peace, hope, resilience, love, kindness, reciprocity, respect, harmony & nourishment. We can do this through our practices and the power of our intention and ceremony. What world do we want to live in?

I invite you to come and plant seeds with me over the coming days as we move through this portal of Equinox. I will be hosting an Equinox Ceremony online today from 3-5pm Eastern. where we will plant our seeds for ourselves and for the world we want to live in. Message me for details.

Tomorrow I am offering the 5 Day Free Radical Self Nourishment (RSN) Challenge starting Monday March 21 - 25 every day at 2 pm Eastern. All calls will be recorded if you cannot come live and it is free! In this challenge you will be planting seeds of RSN which is key for your flourishing and coming into right relationship with your Self, the Earth & others. See below for details!
Come and plant the seeds that will support all of us to go deep within ourselves. The more of us planting, the greater we are able to influence our collective field!

Love and Care: A Valentine’s Reflection

Conditional love is perhaps one of the most violent expressions of emotional abuse because we are groomed to suit the insecurities of others while losing connection to our deepest needs and joys.

Sometimes we mistake unconditional love as violent because the trauma from conditional love makes us suspicious of love.

Love doesn’t mean I have to like anyone. It doesn’t mean that I’m not pi**ed with people or that I don’t find them dangerous. It means that I want everyone to be safe, happy, and resourced knowing that the times people are out of control often means they are reacting to the tension of feeling unsafe, unhappy, or under resourced.

Love and care are not the same thing. Because I love you doesn’t mean I know how to care for you. Love is an aspiration and intention. Care is how love is put into action.

Caring for myself means that I understand that if I am under resourced, I cannot help to resource others. If I am under resourced while trying to help others, I end up draining resources from others without their consent.

I am finally learning how to care for myself as much as I have cared for others. If you do this, it will make you look selfish because everyone has gotten use to you always centering them over yourself. The drama reveals that most of the people in our lives have used our care to bypass developing real care for themselves.

Care is a boundary. You become very sensitive to the ways you feel uncared for, and you choose to organize your life to gathering resources for yourself. Again, others will take this personally even when it has nothing to do with them.
