* Individual and Couples Psychotherapy in Toronto*

What is it like to be you? I want to understand your experience of life in all of its capacities – pleasures, fears, daily struggles, life-long patterns and everything in between. Our sessions together will help you to make sense of your life, to feel more self-cohesion and to feel more connected to the people around you. Psychotherapy is a mutually trusting, confidential relationship between client and therapist. This professional relationship can last from a few sessions to a few years – each client is unique. We will talk about your life experience and I will tune-in to your specific needs. All types of people seek therapy, each for their own unique reasons. Sometimes there is a big change in a person’s life, sometimes something just doesn’t feel ‘right’. Whatever the reason – making sense of ourselves in the presence of an empathic, caring, professional can be helpful. I can offer support through the following issues:
• Abuse/Trauma
• Anger Issues
• Antisocial Behaviour/Isolation
• Anxiety/Stress
• Artistic Creative Expression
• Body Image/Eating Disorders
• Career and Work
• Couples Work
• Death/Grief/Loss
• Depression
• Family/Parenting
• Life Transitions
• Sexual Issues

Loved my conversation with Joy and Walker from Joyous Health! A healthy relationship always begins with you, each as individuals. I recommend starting with the free Self-care Toolkit (short video + custom worksheet). Bonus points if you watch it with your partner! https://houseandhook.ck.page

Allison identifies the prime importance of self-care, and explores the concepts of unlearning patterns, being cheerleaders in relationships, and implementing ‘daily love habits’.

**Free Workshop: The #1 Secret of Thriving Couples (with kids)** Two workshop times every day until this Sunday - 1pm and 8:30pm ET - don't miss out! Grab your free spot here (I'll send you the replay if you can't attend live): www.houseandhook.com/thriving-couple

As a therapist, this is what I hear most from parent couples...
In the last few months, everyone has some kind of script running through their head to explain why they’re feeling disconnected as a couple. Maybe you’ve had some of these *super-common* thoughts, too:
▫️I’m getting irritated by my partner because we’re together 24/7
▫️We’ll get back on track when we can finally have date night again
▫️How can I make time for my relationship when I’m homeschooling my kids and working remotely?
💗To all that I say, “You’ve got this.”
All of these thoughts are oh-so-normal but they’re likely blocking you from finding ways *right now* to be in deeper connection with your love–and solving them is doable (and even fun), when you have insider guidance that will help guide you towards small changes that have a big, loving impact on your family.
And by signing up to my workshop, you’re already halfway there. (You have signed-up, right?) 😉
Since our free workshop has been so popular, we’ve added more times in the next few days!

As a guest on CHCH Morning, I explored the five stages of grief, how they impact you, and how acknowledging your own process can help you to maintain connection, and find empathy for loved ones as you re-emerge from social distancing. Please share! We are truly in this together. xo
