Good morning, Toronto! Time to practice!

I’ve just started to read “Real Artists Don’t Starve” and the first quote that stood out to me was this:

“You don’t fake it til you make it. You believe it until you become it.”

This has been a tough year for me. I’ve basically written it off and have set my sights on 2026 by starting to prepare for it NOW. I’m not waiting until January to get my ducks in a row. They are already gathered and in training!

As I’ve stared to work on next year, I’ve realized what’s been missing this year and possibly a big part of why it’s been so rough.

FOCUS. I’ve lost sight of my North Star. My WHY. My purpose. Losing my 3 yoga teachers, and a few other major shifts have thrown me off my path.

Every year I’ve had a clear direction I wanted to go in. I’ve had amazing coaches and support along the way! This year that focus has been dramatically split into too many parts. And the results are clear! “Where your attention goes, energy flows.” And my energy is all over the place!

So for 2026, I’m pulling it back in. I’m focusing all my energies on building with precise steps along the way to help me lay out my plan. I’m pulling in help from new places, leaving what isn’t working behind, cashing in a few favours, and starting off fresh with a strong eye on the direction I want to go.

I’m gonna believe it until I become it.

I’m grateful this year has been so hard. It’s taught me a lot. I laugh and tell myself “I’ll tell this story when I do my first Ted Talk 🤣 and who knows? Maybe I will!

For now I’m gonna do some yoga. Wanna join me?

Mysore at 7am in person and online at 1768 Danforth Ave. See you on the mat 🧘🏼‍♀️

Good morning, Toronto! Time to practice!

It’s been a hectic week. Meetings, interviews, self tapes, tons of auditions, sessions, applications, appointments… every minute of every day seems to be taken up with something. Which means I haven’t gotten to the OTHER stuff I want to do. My courses, learning, reading, studying…

Am I really that busy? Or am I avoiding?

The honest answer? BOTH.

I work better under pressure. Give me a hard deadline and I will make it by the skin of my teeth. The more I have to do the more I get done. If I’m not “busy” I tend to float around getting very little accomplished.

But lately, my “to do” list feels like it’s never “done”. There’s too much to “do” and very little return on checking whatever it is off the list.

Am I avoiding the hard stuff that would make life easier in the long run?

Are you?

The beauty of life is we get to restart as many times as we need to. Today, let’s start again. Let’s start with yoga.

Mysore starts at 7am. Online and in person at 1768 Danforth Ave. See you on the mat 🧘🏼‍♀️

Good morning, Toronto! Time to practice!

Love this message: “Finding yourself is more about returning to yourself.”

For decades, I travelled. I spent my 20’s and 30’s in India, Europe, Australia, South East Asia. Teaching yoga, body piercing, working in coffee shops, bars, restaurants, cleaning hotels, in vineyards… learning how to surf, ride motorcycles, scuba dive, sky dive, rock climbing, speak Mandarin, make Thai green curry from scratch… rescuing puppies, feeding street dogs, swimming with dolphins in the wild… and god knows what else.

Life was ALWAYS an adventure!

Somewhere along the way, I stopped travelling. I stopped exploring. I became “responsible”. I lost ME.

It’s time I return to that free spirit. And embrace the adventure of life again!

I’m gonna start with yoga! Wanna come?

Good morning, Toronto! Time to practice!

This week was hard. Then my doorbell rang on Thursday and this was delivered by a friend. Everything lightened a little. Thank you 🥰

It’s now sitting on my desk in my office to remind me that I can do this… and so can you. Let’s start with yoga.

Mysore starts at 7am in person and online at 1768 Danforth Ave. See you on the mat.

Good morning, Toronto! Time to practice!

I saw this and had to laugh because yes, I thought I would have it figured out by now! And for a while I thought I did!

But as life would have it, I’m less sure now than I was in my 20’s about what I’m going to do when I grow up. And maybe there is a gift in there somewhere.

Maybe the magic is in the unknowing, the uncertainty.

Maybe the magic is in the stillness vs the “busyness”.

Maybe the magic is in the spaces between…

Maybe this is an invitation to find out vs fight…

Maybe I’ve been so focused on what was, that I can’t see what is trying to come to be…

I think I’ll start with yoga and see where I end up. Wanna come?

Good morning, Toronto! Time to practice!

Ah Autumn… the slow change of the leaves, the cooling of the weather, the cozy clothes being taken out of storage for another year, soups and stews return to the meal prep rotation… and the coming of Samhain.

It’s a time of change, release, and renewal. The energy shifts and for me it gets more introspective.

I start to look at what I’ve been doing, what I want to do, what I want to change.

A lot.

So I’m planting bulbs now - literally and figuratively - so they can bloom next Spring. I’m giving myself time to grow. And create the life I’ve dreamed of while loving the life I’m living.

I’m gonna start with yoga. Wanna come?

Good morning, Toronto! Time to practice!

Growing up, I was always the weird kid. I was shy. I loved theatre. I was afraid of my own shadow.

When we immigrated to Canada it was worse! Omg… kids are MEAN! Kids at school made fun of my accent, my clothes, my lunch!

I desperately wanted to “fit in”. And did everything I could to do so. It was like trying to squish a square peg into a round hole. I never quite got there.

Flash forward to my adult years where I embraced my weird. I made the choice to like myself instead of trying to change myself. I no longer care if I “fit” anywhere. Weird is so much more fun!

All the things that make you stand out? Embrace them. You are a unique and beautiful human. Be YOU. Embrace your weird.

Good morning, Toronto. Time to practice.

I woke up sad this morning.

Sad with all that’s happening in the world.

Sad with watching what’s happening in the US.

Sad learning about what’s happening in the Ashtanga world (let’s be honest, we just have new names to name but this is not new).

Sad.

I’ve been avoiding saying anything of note on social media for the last few months. I start a post or a comment and then delete it. The constant question in my mind is, is it worth it? And more often than not the answer is NO.

The world is so triggered right now. The energy feels crispy. Like at any moment the whole thing will crack and fall apart.

And all I can think to say is:

BE BETTER

Be the reason someone smiles today.

Be the reason someone feels safe today.

Be the reason someone feels seen and heard today.

Be Better

Good morning, Toronto! Time to practice!

Ah, social media — a space where people offer curated glimpses into their lives.

Some days it’s a highlight reel, other days it’s a venting ground. Either way, it rarely tells the whole story.

Some use social platforms for connection or expression; others, for professional outreach and marketing. Consistent posting can lead to unexpected opportunities — even from people who’ve never met you in person.

But let’s not confuse visibility with vulnerability. What’s shared online is often a carefully chosen fraction of someone’s full experience.

We never truly know what someone is going through behind the screen — or behind the smile.

So… choose kindness. Choose yoga!

Good morning, Toronto! Time to practice!

This is an oldie from the vaults of 2017! And each point still hits. (Except possibly the TV one… as a voice actor I need to watch MORE! lol)

September, for me, is a time of shifts and changes. The weather starts to change, the leaves start to turn, and things feel different.

I start getting up earlier to get as much light as possible. I change my workout routines. And my meals become more comforting and warm.

This year in particular, I’m focusing on my health. Life is way too short and much more fragile than we think.

Our bodies need us to take care of them. To listen to them when they tell us there is something wrong (not to just pop a pill and keep going). To move them intentionally daily to keep ourselves limber and strong. To nourish them with real food with easily pronounceable ingredients. And to allow them to rest when we are tired or sick.

Things can change on a dime. Start to pay attention. Really pay attention. And start to live intentionally.

Good morning, Toronto! Time to practice!

Happy long weekend to those who celebrate 🤣 I’ll be spending time with my family, my bestie, and my wife. Resting, recharging, and getting ready to take September by storm!

How the heck is it September already?

It’s been a crazy year so far. Not at all what I had expected or planned. But we plan and the gods laugh…

But I keep going.

This year has been more about surviving than thriving. Again, not the year I had in mind. But I’ve learned a ton in the process.

I’ve learned that not every step forward is the right one. Sometimes we have to step away from what we think we want to find what we were actually looking for .

I’ve learned that people will always show you who they really are if you give them time.

And I’ve learned that we never have as much time as we think we do.

So get moving! I came here to THRIVE! And I’m gonna keep surviving until I do.

I think I’ll start with yoga. Wanna join?
