Today is a very proud moment for the Bridge to Health family.

Ronald, our very first BTH Dental Scholarship recipient, has officially graduated from the Medicare Health Professional College, earning his Diploma in Public Health Dentistry.

Ronald has worked alongside our team on BTH outreaches for over a decade. Supporting his dream of formally studying dentistry and then returning that knowledge to serve his people and communities in Ugand. This has been one of our greatest privileges.

This is the true essence of BTH’s sustainability pillar:
ensuring that knowledge, skills, and capacity remain within the communities we serve so that even when we are not present, care continues.

Next February, Ronald will once again work alongside his mentor, Dr. Gary, who generously funded his four-year program. The difference this time?
Ronald will be fully certified.

Congratulations, Ronald. We are incredibly proud of you and excited for the lives you will continue to impact.

Our Uganda 2026 February outreach is officially all set, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! We successfully completed our pre-departure session, where all our volunteers came together, met one another, and connected with our incredible local partner—the Kalangala District Government—as well as our dedicated student partners. The energy, enthusiasm, and sense of purpose in the room were truly inspiring.

It was a wonderful session that reminded us why this work matters and how powerful we are when we come together for a shared mission.

Thank you all for your patience, your commitment, and for taking the time to make this milestone happen. We are so grateful to have each of you on this journey.

We’re excited to welcome a team of passionate healthcare professionals and students to join our 2026 outreach in Kenya. Together, we’ll provide clinical care, health education, and capacity-building support to strengthen community healthcare systems.

Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) is transforming healthcare by enabling clinicians to perform bedside imaging for faster, more accurate decisions. Our medical and dental outreaches run for 8 days 🩺🦷. Many of our incredible volunteers have been joining us for over a decade 🙌 and every year, we welcome new volunteers to serve communities. 🌍💙

Here’s what a typical outreach day looks like:
☀️ 6:00am – 8:00am: Breakfast
🚐 8:30am – 9:30am: Travel + setup at rural sites
🩺🦷 10:00am – 5:00pm: Medical & Dental Camp
📦 5:00pm – 7:00pm: Break down camp + return
🍽️ 7:00pm – 9:00pm: Dinner
