Jonas was a staple with Reiki classes and healing sessions with Wild Rose Wellness for the last 12 years, she passed at 18 years old. ❤️ At 21 years old I walked into a pet store at Church and Wellesley in Toronto. I looked down at this little kitten with a head too big for her body and one eye bigger than the other, she was stumbling around. I named her Jonas after the Weezer song when the store told me she was a boy, but my French Canadian landlord in his thick accent flipped her over and yelled out “No it’s a girl, see!”.

I didn’t know I was choosing one of the best relationships of my life. She was there for big break ups when I promised her a better life for us both. She was there for my families move to BC and she was a regular at all my Reiki classes. Pets came and went but Jonas was a staple for 18 years.

Funny, adorable, stubborn and hungry. I’m so blessed she was alive for us to move back to Toronto and her final spot in the county. She got 6 months with Corrine Gibson and lived her retirement dream in the garden one last time.

On my last night sleeping with her she licked my cheek and snuggled up to my neck. I’m so grateful to have loved her and be loved by her for half my life.
