PEOPLE OF ONTARIO AND ALL OF CANADA
I hear a lot of people saying the same thing,
"groceries are so expensive." I shop at a lot of stores, Basic, No Frills, Metro, Loblaws, Sobeys and Adonis.
You get the idea, a wide variety of stores. I love to cook and as a result, I love to shop.
I like variety and if I can save a few bucks. Why not!
Lately, not so much.
Some of the prices for a variety of products are outrageous. The most outrageous is beef. A 2 lb. pack of stewing beef $23 to $25. That's ridiculous.
The retailers invited to Ottawa was a show, that has achieved nothing.
Those retailers lied and snubbed their noses at those politicians, saying basically, "Mind your business and stay out of our affairs."
As consumers, we have the power. Only we can do something about this travesty.
Who's being hurt by this the most?

Your parents, your grandparents. Seniors on a fixed income!
Even the people who were able to invest in the future now find themselves paying a disproportionate amount of money for groceries.
Why? simple answer. Greed.
Make a lot of money in any and every way they can.
One of the retailers has become very imaginative with his two-fer pricing. The rest simply, follow suit.
Loblaws, one of the worst offenders, Galen Weston is charging more for double yolks in their eggs calling them Doubles.
Now, really.
Their profits have sky-rocketed.
We must do something.

I have recently quit smoking after many years of indulging in this disgusting habit.
(week 8) One of the hardest habits to break! I now feel I can do anything.
Happy to join Online Empire and look forward to sharing successes and pitfalls. I have been a distributor with Enagic for a year and a half. I need to put myself out there. The reason I say this is that Social Media is a challenge for me. I'm working on it.

Good morning everyone,
So many things to talk about this morning.
Some good, some not so good and some just downright exciting.
The weather we are getting in Southern Ontario is fabulous and hope that everyone is enjoying it. The last gasp of summer especially when you look at what our western neighbours are getting -10C and a ton of snow. Too soon for me, yet I'm sure the skiers are saying, "Bring it on".
The weather around the world is so diverse. Spoke to a friend of mine who lives about an hour outside of Perth, Australia on the northwestern side of that beautiful Country. The temperature was 31 Celsius and expected to reach
40 C by next week. WOW. And this is their spring heading into summer.
On another note, of late I've been battling a nasal infection. It's really taken a lot out of me. This has been going on for over a month now. This brings me to my not-so-good part.
Our Healthcare in Ontario is rapidly declining. 6 to 8 weeks to see an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist. In other specialty areas it's longer, much longer.
Is it because doctors are less inclined to come to Ontario. How much can these doctors expect to earn in Ontario?
I really have no idea.
Mr. Ford is not helping the situation. I feel he is trying to slowly dismantle our healthcare by pushing privatization.
I'd be curious to know what other people feel about this situation.
The exciting part will have to wait until my next post.

AN AMAZING COMEBACK CONTINUED
After a busy day for us we, returned home. We stepped out onto the balcony to have a look at our plants. We get direct sunlight from 3:00 to 8:30 at this time of year.
The begonia’s looked great but to our dismay, “the Scaevola Blue Brilliance” had drooped, the flowers were beginning to shrivel, even the leaves were starting to wilt.
Paula stated that it was dying. She had watered it earlier in the day. I was shocked to see how a plant could turn into this condition so fast. It had been a sunny day but not overly hot.
We have been watering them all regularly The Scaevola is a brilliant blueish purple (see photo below) with the flowers reaching up to the Sun. To see them drooping was completely uncharacteristic for them. We then gave them two litres of Beauty Water in the anticipation this would help. Paula was not so sure and felt it was dying.
At first sunrise the following day I was out on the balcony and to my surprise it had made an amazing comeback. The flowers had completely turned upwards, the leaves looked alive again and appeared to be shimmering.
I am sorry I didn’t think to take a photo of it at the time. As mentioned earlier, I was in shock.
I was so pleased that I did take a photo of the revival.
We water all our plants with Kangen water and one of the by-products is a “Beauty Water” which is oxygenated water & recommended for plants and they simply flourish.

AN AMAZING COMEBACK
Happy Friday to everyone. For us here in Canada it’s the day before our national holiday. July 1st, we celebrate the anniversary of Canadian Confederation which occurred on
July 1, 1867.

A HAPPY CANADA DAY to all Canadians.
I wish you all Peace, Love and Prosperity.
Back to the amazing comeback I witnessed. Yesterday was a busy day for my friend Paula and I.
We were up at 5:00 AM. Paula had an appointment at the Trillium Hospital in Mississauga for a Gastroscopy. You can’t eat for 12 hours prior to the exam. The procedure takes about 2 ½ hours. She was sedated and they insert a tube down her throat. She was of course, very groggy waking up and we went down to a Timmys and had a coffee and a muffin. Most Canadians will know what that is. Tim Horton’s is a very prominent Coffee chain in Canada and becoming very recognizable in the US as well. From there we went home and had a nap. Usually, we would check out the plants which is our pride and joy but we were both exhausted. We then had an appointment for Paula to get her hair done & I was getting a pedicure. For all you men out there who don’t think a pedicure is very manly. Think again!! My feet felt fabulous. We then went to our favourite hamburger place. A&W and had…of course the Root Beer, Hamburger, fries & onion rings. They were hot and absolutely delicious. We were both amazed at how something so simple could taste so good! I’ve gotten a little wordy & will continue in the next post.

AFFILIATE MARKETING continued
Marketing: The act or business of promoting sales of a product/service by advertising.
That’s the definition in the dictionary.

Today’s marketers have taken it off in a new direction.

Not only in social media, although that platform is the worst offender but television, radio and print are almost as bad. Make any claim, exaggerate or outright outrageous, doesn’t seem to matter. To the point where many product claims don’t do what they suggest or in some cases, outright promise. There appears to be a lack of accountability. If a product doesn’t live up to it’s claims.

Who do you go to?

Where can you go to, to right the wrong?

A lack of honesty seems to be almost irrelevant.

What’s happened to the truth? Sprinkle a few truths in and then go off and say anything to promote your product/service.

If a product/service doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do. I can’t promote or sell it!
Next: The greatest commodity in the world.

If you have spent any time recently on Instagram and Tik Tok you have seen many ads about “Affiliate Marketing.” For many this could be a very viable source of additional income. As I have said recently, be careful about these side hustles or the “act now schemes” or do it quickly before it’s too late. Suggesting these methods, should immediately raise a red flag. They will be around as long as there are people who buy into it. It’s the old adage, “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn’t.”
Now, don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with Affiliate Marketing. It’s the “schemes and scams” that are attached to it. Your product or service must have VALUE to the potential customer and have a BENEFIT to them. Many will talk about the benefit to you and the eventual benefit to the customer if they buy in, NOW. But… they don’t tell you of the buy ups and buy-ins you will have to incur along the way. As well as all the additional work that is made to sound so simple, which rarely is. One of the recent buzz words to try and catch people’s attention is HIGH-TICKET PRODUCTS or SERVICES which of course will generate high commissions or a high referral fee. Anything generating a high commission or high referral fee comes with a pretty hefty price tag. Lets face it if a product/service sells for $2,000 and pays a $1,000 commission, the chances are it’s generally not worth $2,000. Rare exceptions exist. For example, a product that may require very pricey replacement parts. Very little value and no benefit to the customer. There are only so many suckers out there and this is not the kind of business you want to be involved in. More to come!

I don't always remember and being brought up Catholic it was engrained in me to feel guilty. These days I am non-denominational, simply a Christian.

Kangen water is the only water I drink and has been for the last 5 months. I clean all my fruit and vegetables with this water. It has many different applications.
