When I previously worked at massage therapy clinics, we had 15 minutes in between treatments and I often felt rushed, frazzled and by the end of my shift I'd be hungry and tired.

When I opened my solo practice, I decided to give myself 30 minutes in between appointments and it makes me feel so much better not to feel rushed!

This allows me plenty of time to:
✳️Clean and tidy the treatment room between clients
✳️Prepare detailed notes about the appointment
✳️Send receipts after payments are received
✳️Return voicemail, email, general admin work
✳️Eat something
✳️Rest, relax, and breathe!

I don't get the "Sunday Scaries" because Monday is my day off, but last night I had a dream (or maybe it was a nightmare...

I don't get the "Sunday Scaries" because Monday is my day off, but last night I had a dream (or maybe it was a nightmare) that I was setting up my massage table at the studio and I ran out of face cradle covers 😱

Mexico City, what a beautiful and interesting city!

We loved: the friendly and helpful people, the architecture, food, tree-lined streets, parks, museums, metro system... Basically everything!

We are definitely in the thick of winter!

Saw tons of people out shovelling, kids off from school with toboggans, cross country skiers, infinite cars completely buried, snow drifts up to my waist....but what a beautiful day with the fluffy snow and sun!

Glad to have this day off to enjoy!

Here are some handy snow shovelling tips to keep your body feeling good:

❄️Wear warm boots with traction

❄️Shovelling is exercise, so warm up your muscles first (and after!)

❄️Keep the shovel close to your body

❄️Bend from your knees, activate your abdominals and lift with your legs

One of the most rewarding aspects of being a massage therapist, is when your client, who is stressed out from not sleeping well and insomnia, falls asleep during their massage treatment.

Happy 2026! 🎉

I've taken a bit of a social media breather lately and  have been reflecting on this last year and my goals for the new one, but I wanted to share my gratitude to all of you. 

I don't take it for granted that you choose to be here. That you consistently show up for yourself, your body, and that you put your trust in me as your RMT. That means so much and I am truly honoured to be a part of your health care team. 

To those who have made time to leave reviews, mentioned my name in community groups and referred your friends and family to me... Thank you so much for supporting my practice! I am so very grateful. 

I love living and working in Roncesvalles, and am looking forward to another great year of supporting your healing and care.

You don't need to wear a mask during your massage session, however, I'm happy to provide one for you if you'd like!

A reminder too that if you're feeling unwell, please cancel your appointment and stay home!
