It has been a rough few years for my own family. Losing parents, seeing a close family member through cancer and now another diagnosed. Major sandwich generation experiences unfolding one after another and sometimes on top of each other.

What I’m really taking to heart is that self care has to come FIRST or it will never come at all.

I’ve got some healthy breakfasts prepped, I’m back on the wagon with exercise and there are four baskets of clean laundry downstairs that I’m not folding because I need to get enough SLEEP.

I NEVER have everything done but I do have my priorities straight. Instead of focusing on what didn’t get done, I’m focusing on what did (even though I really do wish I had gotten to the laundry!) Halloween costumes got sorted, food got made, baseball got watched. We still have love, quality time, joy and laughter amidst the grief and stress.

Layout time! Attuned Families has always been my playground. Don’t get me wrong - there’s a lot of hard work involved - but having the opportunity to create a space for innovation and nerd out hard in my field of study and practice is a true privilege.

Didn’t know it would be so playful that I would get to cut and paste though😁

Because I’m taking some time to enjoy the process, and because publishing is no joke (I’m almost a year in!) I’m hoping to have books in hands by the winter holidays 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
