🌟 Stretch Spotlight: Hip Flexors – The Psoas + The Iliacus 🌟

Did you know your psoas + iliacus are the powerhouse duo that form your primary hip flexors?

They:
👉 Bring your knee toward your chest
👉 Help you bend your torso forward
👉 Power your walk, run, or even your swimming flutter kick

But here’s the catch… ⏳
They’re notorious for tightening up from too much sitting (hello, desk life🧑‍💻) driving 🚘 or curling up at night on your side 🛌. Over time, this can limit mobility and cause discomfort.

✨ The Fix: The Lunge Stretch ✨
1️⃣ Step forward into a lunge, keeping your torso tall.
2️⃣ Drop your back knee to the floor for support, hands resting on your front knee.
3️⃣ Slowly press your front knee forward to 90°, feeling the stretch in the front of your hip (and maybe your abdomen).
4️⃣ Want more? Inch your front foot forward and raise the arm on the same side you’re stretching.
🚨 Pro tip: Never let your front knee pass your toes.

⚠️ Stretch Smart:
✔️ Warm up first with gentle hip circles
✔️ Hold 30+ seconds
✔️ Repeat 3x each side
✔️ Stretch should feel good, not painful
