Visceral Applications for Pediatrics is coming to Mississauga for the first time in Canada this September 22-25, 2022. The course is being held by Barral Institute from the US.

Location:
Holiday Inn & Suites Mississauga West-Meadowvale
2565 Argentia Rd, Mississauga, ON L5N 5V4

We are looking for children volunteers between the ages of 0-6 years of age to receive a FREE 1 hour session. Anyone with visceral/Cranio conditions are great candidates to receive therapy that weekend. The sessions will be done on the floor with multiple therapists to one child. The student therapist are trained in Visceral Manipulation and may also be trained in CranioSacral Therapy and/or Neural Manipulation as well.

The sessions are available at the following times:

Saturday, September 24 at 2:45pm-3:45pm
Sunday, September 25 at 9:15am-10:15am
Sunday, September 25 at 12:15pm-1:15pm

Your feet never take a day off, so take care of them. 🦶🏽

Fascial connections from the feet can be located all over the body. A common pattern for children I see is the foot to tongue fascial connection for tongue ties or mouth tension. However, the connections are endless in every individual case.

Our feet support our whole body and supporting the foundation is pivotal in achieving one's goals.

Don't worry, if you're ticklish there is a treatment for those feet too (that's another post 😉)

Great news parents! The next infant massage class series begins end of April 2021 on zoom. Now you can learn how to massage infants from the comfort of your own home.

Better news the fee is "Pay what you can." As our new families are adjusting and expenses may be high. I wanted to offer this program to those who want to learn how to massage their own child/grandchild/etc and not to worry about if they cannot afford it. Donations can be made at the end of the series if participants choose too.

Dates of upcoming classes 10:00AM EST:

**Thursdays, April 29th, 2021 (arms & chest)
Thursday, May 6th, 2021 (tummy & legs)
Thursday, May 13th, 2021 (face & back)

**To participate in all 3x series you must attend the Thursday, April 29th to learn more lecture as the rest will be all techniques. This keeps the classes less repetitive and fun**

Please note to participate you must have the infant present for the zooms. For those who want to learn for a friend/niece/nephew will have to be a separate class.

Case Overview:


Thanks to Benafsha's consent to share her experience. 🌠

She presented in her 1st appointment with:
-nerve pain on left hip/anterior thigh
-internal rotated left foot with loss of session to touch & temperature
-4 years ago had lumbar surgery and surgical site better but developed nerve pain down her leg and foot. -More recently drop foot more frequent.
Note: Active Physiotherapy for 4 years.

1st treatment combo Mtx/CST/NM
-Massaged back, bilateral glutes & leg (primarily left lower leg focus on knee to foot)
-Craniosacral low back, whole left leg and focused position tissue release and joint mobilization on metatarsal and ankle joint
-Neural Manipulation along left kidney, sciatic nerve and along dorsal & plantar part of foot. (During session right away temperature and sensation in foot slowly returned)

Post session client felt no pain in thigh and able to feel the cold floor with socks on. 🙌🏽

The video shared is 3x weeks later beginning of 2nd appointment. Foot is fully able to step on floor. Full sensation still intact and walking with family during pandemic for fresh air PRICELESS.
2nd therapy session focused on pieces to continue last session and muscle adaptation to new active lifestyle. 🌌🌠
