DYK that anterior knee pain is one of the most common reasons why people see their physio?
People can have different symptoms, but the main one is pain/discomfort behind or around the kneecap. 🦵
So what can you do to manage anterior knee pain? 🤔

Would you prefer to be treated in public or private? 😳

Yet it’s surprising how many clinics still aren’t focusing on their patients first. 🤯

We hear this a lot: "Well I'm not in pain anymore, so I don't need to keep doing my physio exercises"
The truth is, your rehab shouldn't end when the pain goes away.
For a lot of people, when the pain goes away, they stop the exercises that have been prescribed for their physiotherapy treatment. But what many don't realize is that, in doing so, we are actually halting the healing process and providing an opportunity for the pain you were experiencing to come back. It's important to continue your exercises to ensure your body is healed to the place it needs to be.

Rehabilitation used to consist of a combination of stretching and massage, electrical machines, “corrective” exercises, and joint mobilizations. Some people improved while others didn’t. If this conservative approach failed, patients often underwent procedures or surgeries to correct the structure that seemed likely to be symptomatic. Once again, some people improved while others didn’t.
Over the last 20 years there have been huge strides in our knowledge of the physiology of movement and pain. This has allowed well-studied practitioners to better understand how and why symptoms and movement dysfunction arise and persist far beyond any inciting event. As a result, these practitioners have gained the skills to select the most effective treatment modalities and develop new techniques to address the underlying issues.
At Endeavour Sports Performance and Rehabilitation, we are those practitioners.
