✨6 T E E T H ✨
This patient was unhappy with the appearance of his smile: he didn’t like the uneven edges, felt his canines were too pointy and that the two front teeth were disproportionate. He also wanted to improve the colour and make the smile appear more balanced while keeping a natural overall result.
In his consultation, I pointed out the unevenness in the gums but that didn’t trouble him, and I showed him the triangular shape of the teeth that could be improved by modifying the contour and adding some volume in between the teeth near the gum line and he liked the sound of that. I also suggested smoothing the lower teeth a little as well to create a final polished look; skipping it would create a big contrast between the upper and lower teeth so it’s always nice to create a cohesive look by taking everything into consideration. ✍️
The slight contrast in colour between the upper and lower was also mentioned but it wasn’t something that the patient felt would bother him.
So here we treated 6 teeth in just around 3 hours with composite bonding. No needles. No drilling. Just a thin layer of composite added to the upper teeth and contoured to a shape that balances the whole smile.😁
Porcelain veneers are always an option down the road but bonding is a great first step to try out a brand new look for several years with a very minimally invasive approach that keeps the teeth strong and healthy 💪🙌
