★ According to the lunar calendar, we’ve entered WINTER as of November 7, 2025 — the most YIN season of the year.
In Traditional Eastern Medicine, winter corresponds to the Water element, which relates to the Kidney and Bladder systems.
When Kidney function becomes imbalanced or depleted, you may notice symptoms like fatigue, feeling cold, low back or knee weakness, and emotional changes — all of which can become more noticeable as the weather turns cold.
★How to support your body as winter approaches:
• Keep your lower back and feet warm — protect your Kidney energy from the cold.
• Rest more and sleep earlier to preserve energy.
• Eat warming, nourishing foods such as soups, bone broth, black beans, walnuts, and root vegetables.
• Avoid too much raw or cold food, which can weaken digestion and energy.
• Gentle movement like stretching, yoga, or Qi Gong supports circulation without depleting you.
• Regular acupuncture & moxibustion treatments help strengthen Kidney Qi, balance energy, and support immunity through the cold season.
