Pharmacy Students for Cancer Awareness

Pharmacy Students for Cancer Awareness We want a better understanding from a healthcare professional and patients’ perspective to further enhance patient care.

The purpose of this group is to bring more awareness of what Cancer is, as a disease and lifestyle factor, and what a career in Cancer care will look like for pharmacy students. By participating in community events to show the “care” in Cancer care, pharmacy students will learn how they can help their patients inside and outside of practice. This will include hosting fundraising events (funds go towards non-profit cancer organizations) as well as events to bring about more awareness to students around the faculty. Through participation in these events, our mission is to bring a greater awareness and help define and advance the pharmacists’ role in Cancer care.
