Come into the clinic and be entered to win two tickets to Rezonance Baroque Ensemble’s concert on Sunday May 3rd at 4:00pm at St. David’s Anglican Church. The concert features Pallade and Marte, a rare chamber opera, and other early Classical gems. It promises to be a delightful way to spend one of the first days of spring! We’ll draw tickets and announce the winner on Thursday April 30th.

Dr. Kat is on a Red Cross CPR and First Aid course today. It’s a requirement to have an active certificate for our licensure as practitioners, but yknow, also just good to have.

One of the pictures from our winter social this evening! We had a wonderful time but missed some of our practitioners and colleagues. A great way to connect during the cold of these winter days!

We are still open today! BUT your safety is a priority, so if there are any concerns at all, please stay home and just let us know in an email or voicemail. Also, no more snow is called for today, so take your time digging out, with frequent and multiple breaks. We don’t need you to injure yourselves!!

We’ve had to say farewell to my incredibly talented RMT and niece Laura Bulat. She has taken on a position at Synergystix in Peterborough, sticking closer to home, especially with this unpredictable winter weather. We wish her all the best! There will be a bit of a gap in passing the baton back over to Chloe Longuet until the beginning of April - she’s extended her maternity leave for a few more months with her cutie before taking on shifts again. Thanks for your patience and understanding as always!

We dropped off the combined toys gathered from our toy drive, and from Victoria Education Centre, to Morgan this afternoon at MGH. The pediatric ward will be well supplied over the next while. Thank you to everyone helping to make this time brighter for families going through challenging moments!

Delayed in posting - such is life?! Two weekends ago Dr. Katarina received an award from the Ontario Chiropractic Association for her 25 years of practice. The day started with continuing education about central sensitization and chronic pain (she’ll talk your ear off about it if you’d like!), and ended with an awards ceremony. She thought it was a perfect way to honour her time in the profession - helping her to remain curious and excited and engaged while also offering time to connect with others in the profession! Congrats!

We are so very excited to introduce you to two extraordinary social workers. They practice psychotherapy and will be working both in person or online at the clinic. Zac Grant (they/them) describes themselves as a white settler who is q***r and trans/nonbinary, neurodivergent, and hEDS’er. They blend academic knowledge with over 15 years of real world experience. Chloe Oliver (she/her) is passionate about empowering people to overcome challenging life situations and limiting belief patterns, reclaim their inherent worth, and to develop a deeper level of awareness of connection with self and others. She has more than 15 years of diverse experience supporting individuals experiencing a variety of challenges. Please take a look at their full bios in the comments. Feel free to reach out to Zak or Chloe by email to connect for a free conversation to see if they can help support you on your journey - zak@danfortheastwellness.ca and chloeoliver@danfortheastwellness.ca

We will be increasing fees for most of our bodywork modalities on December 1. Most sessions are increasing about $5, with some not changing, like osteopathic, and some increasing slightly more, like craniosacral. Please check in with your practitioner for details. Please let us know if this might create difficulty for you and will try to accommodate as much as possible. Thank you for your continued support of the clinic!

Sarah, Cassie and Ann, our fabulous RMTs, volunteered at the Toronto Hope Bonspiel yesterday, hosted at the Leaside Curling Club. They provided care to the curlers who fundraised for the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook. Over $140,000 was raised! It’s an incredible yearly event that we are happy to support.
