The Subjective Unit of Distress Scale (SUDS) is used as a way to measure a person’s distress level in many different therapies and modalities, including EMDR Therapy. It ranges from 0 to 10, where 0 corresponds to no distress and 10 corresponds to the worst level of distress. This illustration can be used as a visual aid for your clients and patients, who might not do well trying to associate their distress to a number. They can identify it by the colour range given in the illustration as well.
