We promise we're a s*x shop, but it's hard to beat the bookstore allegations when we have so many incredible books! For 🏳️⚧️ we're spotlighting four of our books written by trans authors!
Inspired by the original 70's book Our Bodies, Ourselves, Trans Bodies, Trans Selves goes well above and beyond the original, and even manages to provide an even more thorough resource than even the contemporary Our Bodies, Ourselves. Being trans means something different to almost every trans person, and while acknowledging our many differing approaches to being trans, this title is able to provide non-judgemental and comprehensive information on almost any issue that impacts the lives of trans people.
Trans Love is a ground-breaking anthology of writing on the topic of love, written by trans and non-binary people who share their thoughts, feelings and experiences of love in all its guises. The collection spans familial, romantic, spiritual and self-love as well as friendships and ally love, to provide a broad and honest understanding of how trans people navigate love and relationships, and what love means to them.
Falling Back in Love with Being Human is a transformative collection of intimate and lyrical love letters that offer a path toward compassion, forgiveness, and self-acceptance. In this book, Kai Cheng Thom wrote letters that are prayers, or maybe poems, or perhaps magic spells. She writes to the outcasts and runaways she calls her kin. She writes to flawed but nonetheless lovable men, to people with good intentions who harm their own, to racists and transphobes seemingly beyond saving, and what emerged was a blueprint for falling back in love with being human.
Transgender History covers the major movements, writings, and events that shape today's gender revolution. Chapters cover terms and concepts, the history of medicalization, transgender community formation, trans radicalism and social change movements, the turf wars of identity politics, and the latest advances in civil rights.
