This 𝐆𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, we’re raising funds to send a container full of pediatric wheelchairs, walkers, standers, and other mobility devices to children in Peru who urgently need them.

- A container full of life-changing mobility, independence, and possibility.
- A container full of hope, dignity, and the chance for a child to go to school, play with friends, and participate fully in their community.
- A container full of love and solidarity for families who have been waiting, often for many years, for the basic supports their children deserve.

In Peru and across the Global South, children with disabilities regularly go without the equipment and support they need to move safely, communicate, learn, and thrive.

Team Equip KIDS at the Toronto Waterfront races!

To everyone who ran, donated, cheered us on, or helped spread the word - thank you for making last weekend’s Toronto Waterfront races such a great success for Equip KIDS International!

Our amazing team showed up with much heart, purpose, and determination, running not just for fun, but to raise funds that will help us send a shipping container of pediatric wheelchairs and assistive devices to kids with disabilities in Peru. Check out the photos and see if you can't find a few Equip KIDS team members. :)

So far, we’ve raised almost $3,500, and we’re not done yet!

Good luck to our 5 km racers at the Toronto Waterfront 5 km race tomorrow! They'll be out there running, rolling and walking to help raise funds so that we can send urgently-needed pediatric wheelchairs to Peru.

🏃‍♀️ It’s Race Week! 🏃‍♀️

This weekend, our amazing Equip KIDS International team will hit the pavement at the Toronto Waterfront Marathon — running, walking, and rolling to raise vital funds for children with disabilities in Peru 💛

Every step we take helps provide custom-fitted wheelchairs and essential support for kids who need them - children who, without this mobility, are too often left unseen, uneducated and unsupported.

💡 It costs about $250 to provide one life-changing wheelchair - shipped directly to Peru, custom-fitted for each child, and paired with education, advocacy, and family and community support. So far, we’ve raised enough to send 10 wheelchairs. Let’s keep going!

𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐮

Thank you so much to everyone who responded to our urgent call for storage space for pediatric wheelchairs and other assistive devices! Your ideas, shares, donations, and offers of support meant the world to us and truly helped us move things forward.

While we, unfortunately, missed out on accepting some of the equipment due to the tight timeline, the most important items -specialized pediatric wheelchairs - have been put aside for us and are currently being stored safely. This is a huge win for our wheelchair provision program in Peru!

The donations we’ve received so far will be used to help cover additional transportation, storage and shipping costs. Thank you for helping make this possible!

🚨 That said, we are still in 𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 in the Toronto area. We are now actively collecting more equipment and will be receiving additional donations very soon, but we need somewhere to store it ASAP as we prepare this life-changing shipment!

We are also continuing to raise funds to cover the costs of:

- Shipping and customs
- Children's needs assessments and family training and support (in relation to this program)
- Wheelchair provision clinics in Peru

There is still a grave need, but also an incredibly exciting opportunity to be part of something meaningful. Please consider getting involved, donating, or sharing to help us reach more kids in need.

We’ve been offered a large donation of 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝟗𝟎 𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐦𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, including wheelchairs and other essential supports, for children with disabilities in Peru. This is an incredible opportunity to change lives.

But we have a challenge: we still haven’t secured a storage space, and 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐭.

If we can’t find donated storage in time, we’ll need to 𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬, 𝐭𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 $𝟑,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐬.

🚨 Urgent Help Needed! 🚨

We’ve just been offered a large donation of high-quality pediatric mobility equipment — including wheelchairs, standers, and more — that could truly transform the lives of many children with disabilities in Peru. 💙

But here’s the catch: we need to find a place to store it ASAP — ideally within the next couple of days — while we sort out logistics and paperwork for the shipment to Peru.

👉 Do you have, or know of, a large, safe storage space in the Toronto area that we could use for a couple of months?

👉 Or would you or your business/group be willing to sponsor the cost of storage (through a tax-deductible donation)?
