Our 3rd annual Umbrella Mental Health Network team retreat took place this past weekend! We participated in craft workshops, a professional development session, and team building and brainstorming, all surrounded by beautiful nature ☂️🌈🍃

2. The team was led in a professional development session by Nicholas Mann on expansive ways to explore spirituality in psychotherapy ✨
3. Nicholas asked our team to bring items that represent spirituality to each of our team members, displayed on this tree stump 🪵🌀❤️‍🔥

5. We did a book swap this year! We brought books to share and left with new titles to dive into. (Do you see anything you've read? Tell us about it in the comments!) 📖
6, 7, & 8: We made a collaborative woven wall hanging! Each team member contributed a little bit to the tapestry, and were encouraged to find things in nature to add in - swipe to the end to see its progression and the finished piece! 🧶🪡

Sharing info about this in-person art therapy group hosted by the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic, and led by Stephanie Wu (one of Umbrella's incredible pracitioners!):

"Returning Home" is an 8-week, in-person art therapy group for women and gender-diverse racialized youth (ages 16-29) who are survivors of violence.

Explore ways to reclaim your story and voice through art-making, reflective writing, and collective conversation.
➡️ Art supplies provided
➡️ No previous group or art-making experience needed
➡️ Registration required
➡️ Sessions offered in English
➡️ Interpreters available upon request
➡️ $25 Gift Card offered for participation
