Selkirk College Trail Campus is hosting a Standard First Aid with CPR C course on December 10th & 11th. This two-day course is equivalent to WorkSafeBC Intermediate First Aid.

Learn comprehensive first aid and CPR techniques for emergency response in the home or workplace. Practice a variety of topics, from cardiovascular and breathing emergencies and prevention of disease transmission to more severe sudden medical injuries to the head and spine. Learn the use of an automated external defibrillator.

Are you passionate about first aid? If so, become a Red Cross First Aid Instructor at Selkirk College in Trail.

This training is eligible for Future Skills Grant funding. Become a Red Cross First Aid Instructor. This course combines the online and in classroom components to prepare you for a Supervised Teaching Experience, and to obtain your instructor certification. Training includes:1 day Skills refresher, 8 hour online module, 2 day Fundamentals of Instruction, and 2 days Discipline Specific Training.

Owls are fascinating creatures ... stealthy hunters, often nocturnal, and possess incredible hearing and vision. Discover all this plus more about the owls that call the Kootenay's home.
Join us at Selkirk College in Trail for this 2-part class, OWL PROWL, on June 14th & 21st. Class one is a lecture and class 2 is an outdoor adventure which consists of listening for owls setting up their breeding territories for 2025!
All you need for this fun and educational class is a desire to learn more about owls, and a sense of adventure (for being outside, at night, in the woods, that is!) Field trip location to be determined closer to the date.
