Random Acts of Kindness Week is an annual celebration that encourages individuals to engage in acts of kindness and compassion towards others.
This week reminds us of the positive impact that small gestures can have on each of us as individuals as well as on our community. Each act of kindness creates a ripple effect promoting positive mental health while fostering connections.
How to get involved: Choose everyday actions that spread kindness, such as:
smiling at a stranger
holding the door open for someone
leaving a kind message for a friend/colleague
offering a sincere compliment
actively listening to someone
letting someone in front of you when driving
donating gently used clothes
buy a coffee for someone
volunteering your time
Share your stories. We’d love to hear what acts of kindness you’ve taken and/or received.
As the saying goes: If you can be anything, be kind.

La Semaine des actes de gentillesse aléatoires est une célébration annuelle qui encourage les individus à faire preuve de gentillesse et de compassion envers les autres.
Cette semaine nous rappelle l'impact positif que de petits gestes peuvent avoir sur chacun d'entre nous en tant qu'individus, ainsi que sur notre communauté. Chaque acte de gentillesse crée un effet d'entraînement qui favorise une bonne santé mentale tout en renforçant les liens.
Comment participer : Choisissez des actions quotidiennes qui répandent la gentillesse, telles que :
sourire à un inconnu
tenir la porte ouverte à quelqu'un
laisser un message gentil à un ami/collègue
faire un compliment sincère
écouter activement quelqu'un
laisser passer quelqu'un devant vous lorsque vous conduisez
donner des vêtements légèrement usagés
offrir un café à quelqu'un
faire du bénévolat
Partagez vos histoires. Nous aimerions connaître les actes de gentillesse que vous avez accomplis et/ou reçus.
Comme le dit le proverbe : si vous pouvez être n'importe quoi, soyez gentil.

The 2026 Winter Carnival is happening on 13 February, from 0900–1400 hrs!
All 8 Wing military members and DND civilians are welcome to attend, with unit‑level approval and completed waivers.
From snowshoeing the trails to carnival games, yoga, hockey, and cozy firepits, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! 🔥⛷️🏒
