Your habits don’t ask for permission, they just run in the background on autopilot...some of them you'll be doing without even thinking about it.

Some lift you up. Some… not so much. 🤷‍♀️
But they all follow a pattern whether you realize it or not!
Cue → Action → Payoff

Once you see it, you can actually start shifting your habits without trying to overhaul your whole life.

Real life examples:
Cue: Afternoon energy crash
Action: Coffee run or social scroll
Payoff: Quick boost + mental break

Cue: House finally quiet at night
Action: Snack cupboard takeover
Payoff: A moment to breathe + unwind

If you're wanting to make real change, the goal isn’t to “be perfect”, it’s to be intentional.
Keep the cue. Swap the action. Still get the payoff.

→ Step outside for a quick walk instead of another coffee (energy + reset)
→ Make tea and chill with a book instead of snacking (same calm, different habit)
→ Stretch or move your body instead of grabbing your phone (stress relief without the spiral)

Small shifts. Real change!

Getting real today!
Superman had his Kryptonite … and I have a struggle, too.

It’s taking care of everyone/everything else and losing myself as a priority. It used to block me from reaching my goals because I would feel too guilty saying no if someone needed me and that usually meant I had no time for myself... for my own workouts or hobbies or downtime.

But when I realized what was happening, I knew I had to take control. I realized I was a better helper when I set boundaries for people. It took some counselling to learn that if someone was capable of doing something for themselves, it was okay to say no. It lead me to helping where it was actually needed instead of enabling.

It made all the difference! Now, I’m not going to say I’m perfect – because I’m human, after all!
But when I decided take a different approach than usual, I found change! When I started to look at this as a problem to solve, instead of getting frustrated and angry with myself (cue negative thinking like "I'm not good enough"), I was able to turn it around. 💪

Eating like crap? Using food for comfort?
Been there and still do that sometimes!
But even if you're in that cycle and a little, nagging flame in you has you thinking about change, then you can start with small habit building to slowly make that flame rise 🔥.
Instead of signing up for a diet that will frustrate you or taking away all your favourite foods, I have something for you to try! And that's adding to your food, not taking away.
A first small habit to incorporate to your daily life right now, is eating veggies with every meal and snack. 🍅🫑
That's it.
Whatever you're going to eat in a day, add some veggies to it. Doesn't matter which ones or how, just add'em in there! 😋
If you become aware of adding more veggies to your food, you'll be increasing your connection to the food you eat, digesting a whack ton more vitamins and minerals and helping your digestive system. All without removing anything you love.
If you can master this habit, no matter how long it takes then you're a step ahead. Once it's a habit, you can use it to stack another habit on! And little by little, you'll make your way to a solid foundation of good habits to lean on......that's how you make the whole dang fire rise 🔥🔥!

If we don't make the time for health, then we better make time for disease and injury. It's not always going to go as planned and some days will just be harder than others, but you will always feel better after moving more.

Being active and working out is not a punishment - it's a luxury, it's a gift - don't waste it. I've seen first hand how the regret of not taking care of yourself can take it's toll. And none of this has to be complicated! I hope you take that away from my messaging, it nothing at all!
