A petition was just presented to the House of Commons by Jonathan Rowe - Terra Nova-The Peninsulas asking the Minister of Finance to remove HST/GST from massage therapy services under the Excise Tax Act. This is a big step forward for our profession!

The government now has to respond, and the RMTAO will keep working with partners at the CMTA to make sure this stays top of mind. 🤝

We have officially moved into our new home in Greenwood, Nova Scotia. When I am back operating as a Massage Therapist I will update with the new practice location and booking details. Please be patient, this will likely be months away.

Mask mandates have been extended in select settings until June 11, 2022. This includes health care settings, and all RMT practice settings are considered to be health care settings for the purposes of the masking mandate. RMTs will continue to wear surgical/procedural masks and patients will be expected to wear a mask until June 11, 2022.
