Congratulations, Komal for receiving a $1000 bursary from the Continuing Care Association of Nova Scotia!

We are happy to announce Komal Vekariya as one of our recipients of the Continuing Care Association of Nova Scotia’s $1,000 bursary! This bursary supports frontline staff in their commitment to lifelong learning in continuing care.

Komal, pictured here with Nikki Kenny, Administrator at Townsview Estates (right), is a full-time Continuing Care Assistant at Townsview Estates Nursing Home and is currently enrolled in the CCA PLAR program, working toward registration in Nova Scotia in 2026.

We are thrilled to announce Natalie MacKay as one of our three recipients of the Continuing Care Association of Nova Scotia’s $1,000 bursary! This funding helps support individuals working or volunteering in continuing care as they pursue further education.

Natalie, pictured here with Nikki Kenny, Administrator at Townsview Estates (right), has worked in the recreation department at Townsview Estates. She is currently completing the Master of Aging and Family Science program at Mount Saint Vincent University, specializing in the aging stream.

We had such a wonderful afternoon yesterday with our friends from Steps on Arthur. The room was full of laughter during bingo, and everyone enjoyed coffee, cookies, and great company. We’re already looking forward to their next visit!

We aren't letting the cold weather slow us down! A group of residents braved yesterday’s icy temperatures for a tasty lunch at Golden Wu.

We had so much fun today as Old Time Country filled the home with great music and familiar favourites. Our friends from Steps on Arthur joined us too, bringing wonderful company, lots of smiles, and everyone was up dancing.
It was one of those afternoons that reminds us how special community connections truly are.
