The Truro Walk In Clinic The Clinic Opens at:
Monday thru Friday at 5:00 PM
Saturday and Sundays (Hours vary) It is staffed primarily by local family doctors.

The Walk-In Clinic has been serving the community seven days a week and the clinic operates 360 days per year. The Truro Walk In Clinic was opened in 2002 as the areas first multiservice walk-in clinic founded by Drs. Linda and Murdo Ferguson

We have a dedicated local team of physicians and core staff making the Truro Walk-In Clinic an indispensable asset to the people of Truro and the surounding area. The clinic operates on a first-come-first-serve basis. We are open evenings Monday to Friday and daytime Saturday and Sunday. We deal with routine medical issues normally seen in family practice. We are not an Emergency Department. If you feel that you have a genuine medical emergency, we advise you to go straight to your nearest Emergency Room or call an ambulance. We are occasionally closed due to inclement weather or physician’s lack of availability. In this situation, we will post a sign at the Walk-In Clinic.

THE TRURO WALK IN CLINIC IS LOOKING FOR - MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST

Position Type: Part time
Start Date : Immediate

The Truro Walk In Clinic is seeking a friendly , organized and reliable medical receptionist to join our busy clinic. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for the patients and play a key role in daily clinic operations.

Responsibilities:
- Greet and register patients in a professional manner.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments and manage patient inquiries.
- Verify information, health cards and insurance details.
- Maintain accurate medical records and confidentiality at all times.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail, emails and faxes.
- Assist in maintaining office supplies and equipment.
- Collect payment for uninsured services.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable using computers and EMR system.
Dependable and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail, particularly with patient records.

Must be able to work, days, evenings and weekends.
