March to End Sexual Violence, End the Silence

When: March 29, 2025
Time: 2pm-4pm
March Details: Participants will meet in the park across from the Bank of Montreal. We will be Marching down the sidewalk(s) to the Truro Farmers Market, Prince Street entrance. We ask participants to arrive 30 early before the March.

The first 50 to arrive will receive a "End the Silence" blue Toque to be warn during the March. Yours to keep!

Let's go all out everyone! Create your own sign to raise high for others to see that we march in solidarity. Bring banners or signs to represent a non-profit organization. We welcome you to March with us!

Pledge sheets are available at the Colchester Sexual Assault Centre if you are interested in organizing a team to march. That can be a work team, family, group of friend etc.

9-8-8 is a new phone number, available by phone or text, (in Canada) that recently went live to help people get help in a mental health crisis. Similar to 911, this line is dedicated for anyone in need of mental health assistance of any kind.

The Truro Colchester Welcome Network and the South Colchester Community Health Board invite you to the upcoming South Colchester Connecting with Community: Meet Your Neighbor event, which will be held on September 14, 2024, at the Stewiacke Community Center from 1-4pm.

This event will be open to all and aims to provide an opportunity for folks in the South Colchester area to get to know each other, learn about different cultures and inspire them to be part of fostering welcoming communities for people new to the area.

There will be lots of awesome activities, including
- a food demonstration
- children's activities
- show and tell
- cultural performances
and more!
