As we gently shift from the warm, expansive days of summer into the crisp, introspective energy of autumn, I am reminded of the beautiful rhythm of change that nature extends to us. There is a certain poetry in these cool mornings, the soft embrace of sweater weather, and the gradual, golden loss of evening light. This shoulder season invites a quiet slowing down, a turning inward, and a gentle preparation for the months to come.

Lately, my reflections have settled on the profound capacity of biodynamic craniosacral therapy to honour and support our whole self through such transitions. I have been deepening my study of the living fascial system—that intricate, fluid web within us that whispers to our posture, our mobility, and our overall sense of well-being. Weaving this understanding with a focus on nervous system regulation, this work becomes a sanctuary for releasing deeply held tensions, cultivating resilience, and finding an embodied sense of grounding. It is a practice I cherish, especially as I navigate the renewed busyness of school routines, the flux of seasonal viruses, and the swift current of daily life.

Whether you are seeking solace from physical discomfort, a sacred pause amidst the chaos, or simply a supportive space for your nervous system to settle, I am here to hold that space for you. Together, we can explore how gentle, intentional touch can facilitate a journey of deep release and restoration, allowing you to move through this season with greater ease, grace, and presence.

Wishing you a peaceful transition into the beauty of fall,
Becky

✨ The Return (Seasoned, Not Shiny) ✨

After a deliberate pause, my digital doors are open again: beckylavers.com. Not a rebrand, not a debut—just the same deep work I've been doing for two decades simmered longer.

This space is women-centered, but not women-exclusive. It’s for the quiet seekers—those who know wisdom comes with wrinkles, not widgets. Who prefer substance over sparkle, who understand that real growth takes time (and isn’t measured in likes). Who know that wisdom wears in, not out.

No performative healing. No cosmic buzzwords. Just the kind of knowing that comes from stubborn devotion to what's true.

Come when you're ready.

I truly value open communication and appreciate your understanding and cooperation in honouring your commitments. Thank you for understanding! ✨

Have you ever heard the saying 'emotions are energy in motion'? 🌊 It's true! We receive an abundance of information through sensory awareness and when we are not able to fully express in a moment what we are feeling and experiencing, that information has a way of getting stuck in our bodies.

Allow me to introduce my philosophy on body work!😉 When we bring ourself into a relaxed state with a skilled practitioner, we can tap back into these stuck places (that often show themselves through physical sensations like pain). By gently releasing tension and promoting fluidity within our fluid cellular system, we can begin to move through and release those lingering emotions, leaving us feeling lighter and more balanced. 🌟

🌟 Discover the wonders of Craniosacral Therapy and the Fluid Matrix! 🌊

Hey friends! 👋🏼 Have you ever heard of Craniosacral Therapy and its fascinating connection to the Fluid Matrix? 🤔💆🏻‍♀️ Today, I want to share something truly mind-blowing that might pique your interest.

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach that focuses on enhancing the body's natural ability to heal and self-regulate. It works by targeting the craniosacral system, which includes the bones, membranes, and cerebrospinal fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord. 🧠💧

But here's where it gets truly captivating—the craniosacral system is part of what is known as the Fluid Matrix. 🌊 This matrix comprises various interconnected systems, including the central nervous system, the fascial system, and the fluid dynamics within the body.

The Fluid Matrix acts as a vital communication network, transmitting information and energy throughout our entire body. It supports the optimal functioning of our physical, mental, and emotional well-being. 🌟✨

During a Craniosacral Therapy session, the therapist uses subtle touch and gentle techniques to detect and release restrictions within the Fluid Matrix. By facilitating the free flow of cerebrospinal fluid, this therapy can help address a wide range of issues, including chronic pain, stress, migraines, and even emotional trauma. 🌈💫

Many people have reported experiencing deep relaxation, increased vitality, improved sleep, and enhanced overall health and well-being through Craniosacral Therapy. It's truly a holistic approach that honors the body's inherent wisdom and capacity for healing. 🙌🏼❤️

So, if you're curious about exploring alternative healing modalities or simply interested in optimizing your health and well-being, I highly recommend giving Craniosacral Therapy a try. It's a gentle and non-invasive therapy that can bring profound benefits to your life. 🌻🌿 I've been trained in various craniosacral modalities and have been practicing this work for 15+ years!

If you've already experienced Craniosacral Therapy or have any questions about it, please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below. Let's open up a discussion and spread awareness about this incredible therapy and the Fluid Matrix! 🗣️💬

Craniosacral therapy can be a powerful tool for promoting physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. By working with the subtle movements of the body, Craniosacral therapists are able to release tension, reduce pain, and restore balance to the nervous system.

One of the key concepts in Craniosacral therapy is the "Breath of Life," which refers to the natural rhythmic movement of the cerebrospinal fluid that surrounds the brain and spinal cord. This movement is believed to be an expression of the life force energy that animates all living things, and in craniosacral therapy, practitioners use gentle touch and focused attention to sense and facilitate this movement. By tuning in to the Breath of Life, craniosacral therapists are able to help clients connect with their own innate healing potential, release tension and stress, and achieve a deep sense of relaxation and well-being.

If you are looking for a gentle and non-invasive way to promote healing and balance in your body, craniosacral therapy may be worth exploring, and I have two open sessions this week!

These sessions are designed to help you connect with your inner self, release tension and stress, and cultivate a deeper sense of peace and relaxation.

While this time of year often carries a certain weight of new expectations, new goals to achieve, let me invite you to take a deep breath.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Along with this new pile of expectations, may I offer a reminder- this is the season to slow down and conserve energy. The darker days invite a meditative energy, a time to rest and reflect. So while the social culture is pressuring you to make resolutions, let’s instead take a moment to focus on the energy of winter, which is deep and potent.

Winter is ruled by the water element: the most nourishing and essential substance for life. This element stores much of people’s reserves of energy. That’s why rest is crucial in the winter.

With rest, we allow the internal structures of our body to work and heal-energy is collected and held in reserve. This deeply nourishing Yin time gives us the needed energy, vision, and purpose with which to emerge into spring- a season of growth, renewal of spirit, and fresh starts.

There is a depth to the season that invites us to connect with the core of our being and untouched emotions. There is death in nature and less activity to induce stimulation and excitement. For some, the energy of the season can easily contribute to depression, loneliness, and seasonal affective disorder. Others may feel relief for an opportunity to pause and do internal work.

“During the Winter months all things in nature wither, hide, return home, and enter a resting period, just as lakes and rives freeze and snow falls. This is a time when yin dominates yang. Therefore one should refrain from overusing the yang energy. Retire early and get up with the sunrise, which is later in Winter. Desires and mental activity should be kept quiet and subdued, as if keeping a happy secret. Stay warm, avoid the cold, and keep the skin covered. Avoid sweating. The theory of the Winter season is one of conservation and storage. Without such practice the result will be injury to the Kidney energy. This will cause weakness, shrinking of muscles, and coldness; then the body loses its ability to open and move about in the Spring.” -The Huang Di Nei Jing

Along your seasonal journey know you are surrounded by helpers-food as medicine, herbs and essential oils, meditation, journaling, yoga, and the gift of many skilled bodyworkers in our community. Invest in your self and rest under the skillful care of trained hands.

As a gift to those who offer me the consistency of pre-booked appointments, I am offering a New Year special. For those clients that prebook 3 or more monthly appointments before January 15th I will take $10 off each treatment. So for example, if you pre-book 5 appointments, you save $50!

Let us create resiliency and flow by moving through the dark season together,

Becky

Autumn and a Hurricane

There’s something so powerful about wind. It offers the potential for change by clearing the air and making space for something new to arise. A friend of mine used to remark on how she missed the wind when she moved from here to the interior of BC. Her musings often remind me how lucky I am to be able to stand on the edge of the ocean and feel the wind on my face.

Our natural environment is a metaphor often, for how we are feeling. The ebbs and flows of the ocean tide, the seasons changing, the weather- are all examples of phases or feelings that we live through and experience. Also, quite literally; we are our environment. Rugged and wild. Cold and damp. Calm on the surface, turbulent underneath.

We’ve lived through our fair share of turbulence on the east coast these past few years. As a therapist and deeply feeling person, I’ve felt tectonic shifts within our communities and wondered how I can best be of service. Throughout my own ebbs and flows I keep coming back to the same question-”what is my why?”

The answer has been unwavering; “to restore the original blueprint”. To facilitate change from within so that the truth of who you are can rise to the surface. The true story of who you are before society imprinted upon you who you should be, before your traumas, before all the stresses piled up.

When I am engaged in hands on body work with a client, I often feel an energy that is like a slow and steady wind that ebbs and flows deep below the surface. My intention is to pay close attention so that I may facilitate an awareness on where stagnation slows the breeze and assist in restoring flow. Not unlike clearing a pathway after a powerful hurricane.

As we continue to clear pathways post Fiona, I hope you take time for your own self in whatever ways bring you joy and ease. Let the wind be an invitation to shift out of old patterns and discover what else is possible.

Walk Tall,

Becky

In autumn, just as we see in nature; energy is being directed inward, toward the roots. Nature lays everything bare; leaves turn colour and drop, and we too have the opportunity to let go of that which is not serving us. We can either sink into this with grace or resist. We can learn more about ourselves as energy is directed inward, and autumn creates an opportunity to return us to our essence and reveal what is most sacred in our lives. on beckylavers.com
