CPR isn’t just something you see in hospitals or on TV — you could need it at home to save someone you love.

More than 300,000 people experience cardiac arrest outside of hospitals each year in the U.S. But only about 40% receive CPR from someone nearby before help arrives.

When you take a CPR class, you’re protecting the people who matter most when every second counts.

A cardiac arrest can strike anyone, anywhere, at any age, often without warning. It’s not the same as a heart attack, although both are medical emergencies.

⚡️Cardiac arrest is an "electrical" problem: the heart goes into an erratic rhythm, cannot pump blood and stops beating entirely.
💧A heart attack is a "plumbing" problem: the heart’s blood flow is slowed/ blocked, but the heart keeps beating.

If you see someone in cardiac arrest, don't wait for someone else to act. Call 9-1-1 and shout for an , start away and use an AED is soon as one is available.
