It has been a hot minute since I've made a Wellness Warrior post because, well, sometimes life gets messy and part of our wellness journey is knowing what to prioritize and where to self-care! I want to wish everybody a wonderful Canadian Thanksgiving weekend because there is so much to be thankful for! I am so grateful that after a three year transition from our Nelson community to our Victoria life, things have finally come together and with this I have freed up some mental space to get creative again in the kitchen! I am very excited to share with you this weeks wellness warrior recipe which is a most delectable almond flour gingerbread brownie. Jury is still out whether I can call this a brownie as it has no chocolate but it is almost better than chocolate! This gingerbread brownie is rich in unsaturated fats, protein, fibre and a multitude of micro nutrients like vitamin E and is grain and gluten free. The smell of gingerbread spice and molasses wafting through the house screams autumn! This recipe makes a great holiday treat whether this Thanksgiving or into the winter solstice season!
