Hi 👋🏻 I’m Megan, founder of Mandala Mamas, offering Prenatal Yoga and Baby + Me Yoga classes in Nelson, BC. My passion for this work began in 2015 after the birth of my son Cameron, when I experienced firsthand the beauty and challenges of new motherhood. Yoga had been a source of healing for me since 2007, and motherhood deepened my commitment to supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and beyond.

Through Mandala Mamas, I guide mothers to connect with their bodies, build strength, and develop trust in their own inner wisdom. Classes offer a supportive space for movement, breath, and connection—helping to ease common pregnancy discomforts, support postpartum recovery, and foster a sense of community with other mothers. Prenatal Yoga is especially helpful for preparing the body and mind for birth, while Baby + Me Yoga provides gentle movement, bonding, and a nurturing environment for both caregiver and baby.

I’m committed to making classes as accessible as possible. I offer a sliding scale option to help reduce barriers and each series includes one pro bono spot reserved as a community offering.

Being of service to the women + families in my community truly lights me up and fuels my sacred purpose✨

Hi, I’m Megan.

The Okanagan has my heart. Having lived here for nearly my entire life, I have a deep appreciation + love for this land. My days change with the seasons; however, there are a few constant passions in my life. I am a lover of learning, constantly devouring knowledge through podcasts, blogs, traditional + audio books. I’m a lover of memoirs, forever interested in how others live out their days in this wild world. I appreciate all things cozy, including warm mugs of tea, handknit blankets + wood burning stoves. Most of my days include bits of nature, poetry, connection, movement, music, self-exploration + snacks.

Yoga found me when I needed it most. Beginning my journey in 2007 during a time of stress + trauma. I didn’t know much about the practice, all I knew was how I felt after class. The effects of yoga on my body + mind were exactly what I needed to heal and grow. Slowly throughout the years Yoga proved to be a vital and important part of my life. In 2011 I embarked on my own yoga adventure, completing my 300 hour yoga teacher training.

In 2015 I was blessed with my greatest gift, my son Cameron. My transition into motherhood was beautiful + challenging. The birth of my son and my entrance into motherhood ignited my passion to learn more about prenatal and postnatal health + movement. Mandala Mamas is an expression of who I am and what I wish to offer the world. My intention is to gently guide mamas to strengthen + develop their own inner wisdom and power. As well as, to offer an accepting space for mamas to connect and build community.
