Preparing for Beltane π₯π±
Tonight is the eve of Beltane (or Walpurgis Night π)....
In the few days leading up to Beltane (May 1st), I've been asking myself a few things in preparation for this time of transition
π±what is coming up as important
π± what feels right to do in ritual to focus my intentions
My Spring intentions were mostly made up of a "one foot in front of the other" approach, while putting more daily focus on my whole body's health. Choosing me more. Choosing consistency. And finding beauty all around me.
Knowing that Beltane is about transitioning to Summer, a period of growth, and protecting your main goals, it becomes important to get clarity on what lights us up in passion, love and joy. To get specific on the direction we take.
Think of all the energy and patience it takes to
BLOOM.
We've got to feed it really well.
Nurture it.
I rely on the beauty around me, and I incorporate that into the rituals I add to my daily life.
Rituals remind me of my focus. Of where I'm going. But also it's a deeply reflective practice to check in with self consistently. You can fine tune your efforts or course-correct easily.
I work in rituals of intent like cleaning my home today, as it's also a Full Moon in Scorpio tomorrow, and this is one way to cleanse the energy for me.
Tidying up projects and clearing clutter signals the end of this cycle and cleaning prepares for the celebrating.
I'm also preparing to make moon water to leave out tomorrow (and I like to adorn each bottle with something from nature).
I will be making a bonfire tomorrow π₯ and plan to write intentions and things to release on bay leaves to burn.
I try to work with the 5 elements in crafting my rituals.
So go get creative, spark some joy and light a candle (or fire, if permitted for you) tomorrow π₯
What elements can you use?
What are you excited about? π
What do you like to do to celebrate the full moon and/or Beltane? ππ―
