It’s never too late to start strength training! As we age and lose estrogen, it becomes harder to maintain our lean muscle mass, balance blood sugar and feel stronger. Heavy lifting pulls on the nerves and signals the brain that it needs to build the body stronger. The brain therefore develops new pathways to help muscles contract stronger and build without the presence of estrogen.
