A special thank you to Magee Senior Secondary School in Kerrisdale for inviting us to their Annual Seniors’ Christmas Tea.

It was a festive afternoon filled with treats galore including cream cheese sandwiches, fruit kabobs, mini cucumbers, and hot tea. We also enjoyed the lovely tunes of their jazz band along with performances from the choir and strings section. 🧣

Nothing brings people together quite like a good meal. Our chefs have been busy in the kitchen this month, serving up holiday favourites and a few new twists too. The best part? Seeing everyone gathered around the table, enjoying it all together.

Our Christmas trees are up and look beautiful, thanks to our talented residents! 🎄 We served rum and eggnog, butter tarts right out of the oven while listening to Frank Sinatra's Christmas album and decorating.

A fun afternoon that put us all in a festive mood!

📸Each month, our resident Tony hosts his popular Travel Show. His photos are stunning and this week we travelled virtually to British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, highlighting memorable stops along the Red Coat Trail.

The Red Coat Trail is a 1,300 kilometre route in Canada that follows the path taken in 1874 by the North West Mounted Police during their March West from Fort Dufferin to Fort Whoop Up.

🎨In our class today, we painted Lawren Harris’ Maligne Lake, Jasper Park (originally created in 1924) using watercolour paints on watercolour paper.

Lawren Harris, born in 1885 and passing in 1970, was a founding member of Canada’s Group of Seven and is celebrated for his striking interpretations of the northern wilderness and mountain landscapes.
