This weekend, the crew celebrated hard — and it genuinely has me in my feelings. 🥹

This isn’t really a post preaching Mondays (though we’d absolutely love to have you). It’s a reminder to find a community — any community that works for you — because belonging isn’t a “nice to have.” It’s a core human need, deeply tied to our wellbeing.

Heading into 2026, I want to invite you to celebrate more, connect more, get a little uncomfortable, talk to people who are different from you, and show up in person. Find something outside of work and your close friend circle. I promise it will take time, and it won’t feel easy at first — but it will make a difference, and it will be worth it. The activity doesn’t matter. Just join something. 🙏

I lead the walking crew because accessibility matters. Not everyone can run. People get injured, get sick, need breaks, or simply don’t enjoy running — but most people can walk, talk, connect, and hang out afterward. Know that there are options. If run clubs feel intimidating, come walk with us — or find another community entirely. I don’t care which one. I just hope you prioritize it. ✨

One last thing I loved about this weekend:
the awards weren’t really about performance or accomplishments. They celebrated virtues — cheering others on, showing up to support, bringing dedication, enthusiasm, and heart. ♥️

How often does your mind jump straight to the worst-case scenario?

For most of us, it’s automatic.
The moment something feels uncertain or vulnerable, our brains start writing disaster stories — long before anything has actually happened.

But here’s the truth I’ve learned in my own life and with my clients:

If you’re going to imagine what could go wrong, you also owe yourself the story of what could go right.

Your fears don’t get to be the only ones with a microphone.
And imagining the best-case scenario doesn’t make you naïve, irresponsible, or unrealistic — it makes you balanced.

It gives your nervous system another option.
It expands your sense of agency.
It reminds you that possibility exists alongside fear.

So the next time your mind spirals, ask yourself:
What is the best possible outcome here?

Practice that consistently, and over time, the best-case scenario starts to feel just as familiar — and just as believable — as the worst.

And with that, the 2025 season of retreats comes to a close. 🌲✨

My sixth retreat this year and twelfth at Nectar overall — and what a beautiful way to end the season. Each one continues to remind me why I do this work.

Over time, I’ve noticed a few recurring archetypes that always touch my heart:

✨ The mother–daughter duo who deepen their bond through shared growth.
✨ The solo guest who comes for quiet time alone but leaves more connected than ever.
✨ The person who unexpectedly finds themself in tears (the good kind) after yoga — feeling a release they haven’t allowed in years.
✨ The guy who wonders if he’ll feel out of place among mostly women, but instead leans into softness and loves it.
✨ The friends who bring someone new to this retreat world — and witness major breakthroughs unfold.
✨ The retreat besties who met on retreat years ago and now travel the world doing retreats together.
✨ The one who arrives exhausted and low, and leaves with more colour in their cheeks and a spark in their step.
✨ The seasoned guest who keeps coming back — drawn again and again to Nectar’s unique magic.

No matter who you are, what your story is, or how much experience you have — you are welcome here. You might be surprised by how profound a few days of release, reconnection, and renewal can be. 🤗

I’m heading back to the drawing board to dream up next year’s programming — and I can’t wait to share what’s coming next.

🍂 Fall Joy Bucket List 🍂

This summer I started making a seasonal joy bucket list — a way to intentionally bring more joy into my life.

One of my core Slow Burn teachings is this: don’t just hope joy happens to you — plan for it.
When you make joy part of your calendar, it’s far more likely to happen.

Joy doesn’t require a lot of money or for your whole life to be figured out. It can be as simple as a walk to admire the leaves, baking pumpkin muffins, or sitting by a fire.

Here are a few things I’ve checked off my Fall Joy Bucket List so far:
