🙏 Intro to Ashtanga - Workshop 🙏
Join Saghar for a grounding 90-minute immersion into the foundational principles of the Ashtanga Vinyasa system.
This workshop is designed to introduce (or reintroduce) practitioners to the rhythm, breath, and structure of the Primary Series - emphasizing mindful movement, alignment, and inner awareness.
We’ll explore Surya Namaskars, key standing and seated postures, transitions, and finishing sequences with a meditative closing.
You’ll gain clarity on the connection between breath (Ujjayi), gaze (Drishti), and energy locks (Bandhas) - the three pillars of the Ashtanga method.
Open to all levels, this session is both an introduction and a reset, helping you approach your Ashtanga practice with renewed steadiness, ease, and understanding.

ABOUT YOUR FACILITATOR:
Saghar Maske is a Vancouver-based yoga instructor with roots in India, trained in traditional Hatha and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. His teaching blends mindful alignment, breath awareness, and grounding energy work to help students connect inward and cultivate balance in body and mind.
His approach is heart-centered and accessible, offering space for practitioners of all levels to move consciously and rediscover strength through softness.
