I'm writing to you to see if you might be able to repair this Walter bear, whose arms are quite floppy. Some of his stuffing is also uneven.​​​​​​​​​Regards, Marc ​​​​​​​​​
Thanks. It looks like his stuffing has shifted. I can add more stuffing in his arms & legs & belly. Should he be able to sit up on his own? How firm do you want him? Does he need a spa treatment too? Ruth

No need for him to be able to sit up on his own (that was never possible, even when new). With regards to firmness, as close to original as possible. The belly is largely the same as it was when new, so if possible, the firmness would be quite similar to that. Feel free to err on the side of slightly firmer in the arms (where it's all floppy). It's quite important to me that this bear stay similar in feel, if possible!

Is the spa treatment just an exterior wash? Or does it require complete disassembly of the bear? If it's just an exterior wash, then sure! If it requires a complete disassembly, then no, it's okay. Marc

That gives me a good idea. Everyone is different as to feel so I like to check. I don’t take him apart for the spa treatment. I do open his back up to add stuffing.

Hi Sheldon, I would give her a spa treatment & grooming first. Then it looks like several of her foot pads need replacing as well as the fabric under her chin. She won’t look original but these will keep her healthy & last longer.

Hi Sheldon, You daughter’s stuffy is ready to go. She’s had her spa treatment, chin & foot pads changed & stuffing added. She had some glue on her leg. I got some of it off but couldn’t get it all.

"Take this at bedtime. It'll help you sleep."​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​How often have you said this? I hear it all the time at Teddy Bear & Stuffy Hospital. It doesn't matter how young or old the owner is - they can't sleep without him.

But the big question is - Can you fix him in a day??

It's been with her since she was 2 and it's lost a lot of its stuffing.

Other than that, it still seems to be in decent shape.
