Iron supplementation has been around for...a good while šŸ˜‰

There are many different forms of iron as it comes attached to different molecules like sulfate, gluconate, or bisglycinate. Each of these has a different molecular weight, so we can’t just look at the total weight of the compound to know how much usable iron it contains.

That’s why labels list elemental iron—the actual amount your body can use. Depending on the form, a single dose can range anywhere from 10–150 mg of elemental iron. Big range, right? 🤯

šŸ¤“ The tricky part: higher amounts aren’t always better. The form of iron, your digestion, lab results, and your individual needs matter just as much as the dose. Iron compatibility can be very personal.

šŸ˜Ž Always check for elemental iron on your supplement label and check in with your healthcare provider for help along the way.

Sure, lean muscle mass is about looking toned, but it’s also about protecting your health for all the years to come.

After 40, we naturally lose muscle each year (called sarcopenia). This impacts:
⚔ Metabolism and weight balance
🦓 Bone health and stability
šŸ’“ Blood sugar regulation and cardiovascular health
šŸ›”ļø Independence, mobility, and injury prevention

How to get started?...
1. Eat enough calories - fuel your body right
2. Hit your protein goals - aim for 1.2-1.7g/kg of body weight daily
3. Strength train 2-3 times a week - focus on large muscle groups

If you need extra support, I'm here to help.

If we aren’t sleeping, we aren’t healing.

Sleep is when your body repairs, hormones regulate, and your nervous system resets.

Hormones like cortisol, insulin, estrogen, and progesterone are regulated during sleep.

Deep sleep supports immune function, tissue repair, and brain detoxification.

Poor sleep increases inflammation, worsens pain, and disrupts menstrual cycles.

Sleep is a pillar of health.
Your body can’t recover well without it. Protect your sleep like it’s medicine…because it is.

šŸŽ‚ All I want for my birthday… is for us to routinely diagnose endometriosis with ultrasound and MRI.

Because patients deserve more than years of pain, dismissal, and waiting for surgery just to get answers.

šŸ–¤ The facts:

Advanced transvaginal ultrasound and MRI (done by specifically trained providers) can identify deep endometriosis and endometriomas with high accuracy.

A normal scan doesn’t always rule it out, but when done right, imaging can speed up treatment, reduce surgical delays, and validate symptoms sooner.

Surgery shouldn’t be the only gateway to a diagnosis.

It takes an average of 7 years to be diagnosed with endometriosis. It’s time to make imaging a standard, accessible, routine step...not a rare privilege.
