Today, at Optima Living, we pause to reflect on the bravery and dedication of all who served. Since 107 years ago, at the eleventh hour on November 11th, Canadians have observed a moment of silence to honour those who gave everything for our freedom.

This Remembrance Day, we are proud to honour our remarkable residents who have served their country with courage and pride. Among them are:
▪️ Roy B. an underwater weapons specialist
▪️Elmer B. who served in the Navy
▪️Rosemary D. and Doug P. both Air Force veterans
▪️Bev H. who proudly served in the Army
▪️Megan A. a member of the Women’s Land Army
▪️Leo G. who served 24 years in the Air Force as a radio operator
▪️Daniel R. who served at CFB Halifax in hospital administration

Each of these residents has a story of service, sacrifice, and resilience, and we are proud to have them as part of our Optima Living community. Their experiences continue to inspire the spirit of remembrance and gratitude in all of us.

The giving spirit is alive and well at The Hamlets at Duncan Senior Living! 💫

These talented ladies from our Sit and Stitch group have already knitted 101 tuques for our annual Socks and Tuques Fundraiser.

The donation tree goes up next week so stop by to admire their beautiful work or drop off socks, tuques, or hygiene supplies. 💕
