In September 2023 Broadway Lodge began renovating our 43 year old home. It has been a long journey but we are seeing the finish line now!

The intention behind the change was to shed light on DementiAbility Methods. By implementing way finding methods and using colours thoughtfully with contrast in mind, DementiAbility supports seniors living with age related challenges to feel safe and comfortable in their home. As well as the overall goal of creating a more homelike environment for our seniors.

We are excited to share our results and proud to make Broadway Lodge more of a homelike residence.

Broadway Lodge had the pleasure of hosting the VPD for a very informative information session on supporting seniors against scam and theft activity. Thank you to everyone that was able to attend today including Broadway Lodge and Residences for Independent Living Society residents, staff and family, neighbours from our False Creek community and of course the Vancouver Police Department!

A few pictures from our Christmas Production this past Wednesday 🎄

Thank you to everyone who was able to participate! It was a wonderful celebration. Great story telling, beautiful music, wonderful company and delicious food!

Our Christmas season started off with a bang! Broadway Lodge and Residences for Independent Living Society successfully hosted their first joint Christmas craft fair, thank you to those that came out to support the residents and the Broadway Group!

Broadway Lodge 4th floor residents had a blast at their annual Christmas party!

Broadway Lodge residents were glad to finally be able to return to attending the beautiful Singing Christmas Tree performance, it was absolutely amazing Broadway Church!

Ain't no party like a Terrace Garden party! 🎉

On Thursday July 12, we had our grand opening for the North Terrace Garden, located on the main floor, north of the dining room. Residents, families, and staff enjoyed refreshments and a lovely live performance from Harris & DeBray

The north terrace has now been fenced in and is complete with wheelchair accessible garden beds. It is another great garden for residents to spend time in and enjoy the outdoors.🙂🌼
