Does SMP look like a tattoo?

A lot of people assume it’s the same thing.

It’s not.

Scalp micropigmentation requires extremely precise hand pressure to place thousands of tiny impressions only in the upper layer of the skin. That control is what keeps the result soft and natural.

Traditional tattoos are implanted much deeper. That’s why they heal differently, look heavier, and can blur over time.

We also use pigments specifically formulated for SMP to maintain a natural tone and stability.

This is Beard Micropigmentation (BMP).

I actually did this procedure on myself.

I was dealing with a patchy beard and mustache, and I wanted more darkness and fullness without relying on fillers, pencils, or constant trimming tricks.

Doing BMP on yourself is extremely difficult angles, pressure, visibility, so no, it’s not as perfect as I’d want it on a client.
But the improvement in density, darkness, and overall shape is very real.

This treatment is designed to subtly enhance what’s already there, not create anything fake or overdone.
Just a cleaner, fuller-looking beard that blends naturally with your real hair.

If you’re dealing with patchy areas or uneven growth and want a low-maintenance solution, I highly recommend BMP.
