Today I gave a mini personalized poetry workshop (1 hour instead of 3) to my professional women's alumni group. It went GREAT! Together, we wrote a poem about Oprah Winfrey and I got some useful feedback. I'm so grateful to all the brilliant, imaginative women who took part and especially to my dear friend Tamar. What a good day!

Here's a poem I presented at an Open Mic tonight. Inspired by a business seminar I attended today, I wanted to experience the feeling of vulnerability in front of an audience. It went pretty well. Thank you, Gina Best!

I'd love to write a letter (or another poem!) to my Mom, who died in August 2015, but I'm still grieving and not yet ready. This does make me realize, though, that when we pay tribute, it's not just for the person we wish to honour. It's good and important for us, too.

Stamos paid tribute to his "dear, sweet mom," Loretta, who passed away in 2014.
