Harnessing AI responsibly to help patients https://beyond.ubc.ca/developing-ai-responsibly-to-help-patients-get-treatment-sooner/

UBC researchers are reimagining how AI can improve health care — from speeding up the path to treatment to empowering patients in their own health journey.

By using AI safely and securely to analyze vast amounts of clinical data, Dr. Raymond Ng and his team are working on tools to streamline processes for the benefit of both patients and health professionals. The goal: getting patients the care they need sooner, while safeguarding privacy and ensuring humans — not AI — make crucial medical decisions.
