This Menopause Awareness Month, the Women’s Health Research Institute (WHRI) is spotlighting the Mapping Menopause Project, a province-wide initiative working to close knowledge gaps and improve care for people experiencing menopause.

In collaboration with healthcare providers, researchers, and individuals with lived experience, WHRI is developing a “Research Agenda for Menopause and Midlife Women’s Health.” Insights from the Mapping Menopause survey will help shape this agenda, guiding future research and supporting evidence-based care at BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre.

BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre offers menopause resources, a dedicated Complex Menopause Clinic, and the bi-monthly Hot Topics Webinar Series, created in partnership with the Women’s Health Research Institute and the BC Women’s Health Foundation.

The BCNA is the professional association for naturopathic physicians in BC.

At the BCNA, we make a meaningful difference in improving health care for British Columbians by working alongside our members to achieve quality patient care through engagement, collaboration, and naturopathic physician leadership.

Our goal is to promote a social, economic, and political climate in which members can provide the citizens of British Columbia with the highest standard of naturopathic health care, while achieving maximum professional satisfaction and fair primary care options.

With the help of our president and board, we help make sure the voices of naturopathic doctors are heard by government, health authorities, media, and the public. We pride ourselves on continuing to advocate for a fair health care system for all residents of British Columbia.

We are linked to the national naturopathic association, the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors. We support the annual national proactive health event, Naturopathic Medicine Week, during the first week of May.
