When it comes to choosing a pet first aid course, there literally is no apples to apples comparison.

One of the ways WNW endeavors to be a leader in the industry, is the quality of our instructors.

Not only do we have strict entry criteria into our instructor program, and an in-person teaching assessment, but instructors also are re-assessed every 3 years.

That’s right, we have instructors who have just completed their 4th and even 5th recertification this year. There are no exceptions, no matter how many years they teach for.

Quality is important to everyone here at WNW, and we are grateful to have instructors that are so dedicated.

Students traveled from all over BC’s Lower Mainland for this weekend’s Walks ‘N’ Wags Pet First Aid course held at Discover Dogs Vancouver.

These energetic participants, along with demo dogs Ellie and Olaf, made the day fun and truly fly by.

We’d like to thank the following organizations for sending their staff and volunteer team members: Sit Stay Sparkle, BC SPCA West Vancouver, Delta Pet Care, Sweet Paws Dog Grooming Services, Fetching Forever, Alpha Dog Pet Care, and VOKRA - Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association.

Thanks again to our friends at local neighbourhood pet supply store Discover Dogs for being such wonderful hosts!

Chronic itch isn’t just a skin problem. It can change a dog’s behavior. 🐶

Irritability. Anxiety. Reactivity. Sleep disruption. These are signs veterinary teams see every day and they may be rooted in inflammatory skin disease, not “just behavior.”

This Trends article explores the itch–stress cycle and why dermatology and behavior often need to be addressed together from the very first visit.
