This position statement aims to provide rapid guidance with regard to the recent recall notice. This document was based on the consensus of the authors, who are members of the Guideline Committees (Sleep Disordered Breathing, Home Mechanical Ventilation and Pediatric Assemblies) of the Canadian Thoracic Society (CTS), the Canadian Sleep Society (CSS) and the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT). The recommendations are informed by a limited body of evidence and statements from other international and provincial bodies and are subject to change as more information regarding the recall becomes available.
