Losing part of a foot doesn’t mean losing mobility. 👣✨

This is a recently delivered custom partial foot prosthesis.

Designed to:
✔ Restore foot length
✔ Improve walking efficiency
✔ Reduce pressure on sensitive areas
✔ Fit comfortably inside regular footwear 👟

We’re showing both the in-shoe and out-of-shoe views to demonstrate how prosthetic design balances function and appearance.

Small structures like toes make a big difference in movement. Even a partial foot amputation can significantly affect balance, push-off power, and overall gait mechanics.

Helping our clients get back to everyday life, one step at a time. 💙

Recent transfemoral (above-knee) prosthetic leg dispense from our Surrey clinic ✨🦿

🔹 Knee: The Ottobock C-Leg is a microprocessor-controlled knee that continuously adapts with every step, helping improve balance ⚖️, safety 🛡️, and confidence 🚶‍♂️➡️🚶‍♀️ on stairs and uneven ground. Ottobock

🔹 Socket & Suspension: This prosthesis features a Coyote Design Summit Lock socket system 🧦🔒. It functions as a secure locking suspension system, similar in concept to a snowboard binding 🏂, helping keep the prosthesis well-connected and stable throughout the day.

Each prosthesis is carefully customized and alignedto support comfort, function, and everyday life, because no two journeys are the same. 🛠️💙

Recently dispensed at our Vancouver office 🖤✨

This transtibial (below-knee) prosthesis 🦿 features a sleek black carbon fibre socket, paired with a prosthetic sleeve for added suspension and security.

A prosthetic sleeve is a soft, flexible cover (often made of silicone or gel) that fits over the socket and residual limb. It helps create a secure seal, using suction or gentle compression, to keep the prosthesis comfortably in place during everyday movement 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️.

The result? Better comfort, stability, and confidence with every step 💪✨

Clean design. Strong function. 🖤

Recently dispensed at our Surrey office 💜🌸

These bilateral Ankle-Foot Orthoses (AFOs) were custom-made for a wonderful client, and yes, they’re intentionally different! One pink, one purple, each with its own floral design, all personally chosen by her.

While AFOs are designed to provide essential orthotic support, we do our best to make them feel personal too, from colours to patterns, because function and individuality can absolutely go hand in hand.

We love seeing our clients take part in the design process and make their devices their own. ✨💜

🏀 Yes, you can play basketball with a broken nose - safely.

One of our clients came to us with a nasal fracture and one clear goal: getting back on the court.

Our solution? A custom-made face shield orthotic designed to protect the injury while allowing safe play.

Not every device is common - and that’s exactly where custom care matters most. ❤️

🧣➡️🦿 From LV scarf to socket

We recently delivered a TT prosthesis with a personal touch; our client brought in his favourite Louis Vuitton scarf, and we transferred the pattern directly onto the socket. 🎉

Luxury isn’t about labels, it’s about meaning, and this one turned out very cool. 😎

✨ Prosthetics, but make it personal.

PS: If you’ve got a pattern you love, we can bring it onto your socket too, as long as we can find the matching garment 😉

We’re happy to share that we recently delivered two transradial prostheses to one of our clients 💪. Both are body-powered systems, designed to support functional, reliable day-to-day use.

In the photo, the prosthesis on the left is a voluntary-opening design, and the one on the right is a voluntary-closing design 🤲.

What’s the difference?
A voluntary-opening prosthesis opens the terminal device when the user applies tension through the harness; when tension is released, it naturally closes. This style is great for tasks that require quick, easy opening with less sustained effort ⚙️.

A voluntary-closing prosthesis works the opposite way, the device closes when the user applies tension and opens when the tension is released. This offers greater control over grip strength, which can help with holding objects securely ✨.

We’re proud to support our clients with solutions that match their goals, function, and daily needs 🙌.

This beautiful transradial myoelectric prosthesis was custom-built for one of our clients. The prosthetic hand can open, close, and gently hold everyday items - like this flower 🌸 through intuitive muscle signals.

We’re proud to create devices that not only restore function but also reflect each person’s individuality and style. The cosmetic finish gives a natural, personalized touch while keeping advanced technology at the heart of the design.

At Pentland's, we love what we do. 🌷
