April is Stress Awareness Month, a reminder that not all stress is loud or obvious.

Sometimes it shows up as quiet exhaustion, low energy, or the constant feeling of being “on.”

We often normalize it, push through it, and tell ourselves it’s just a phase. But when stress becomes constant, it starts shaping how you think, feel, and function.

The shift isn’t about doing more to manage it, it’s about pausing long enough to understand it.

Because when you understand how your brain is responding, you can begin to change that response. This Stress Awareness Month, give yourself permission to check in.

If you’re ready to go beyond coping, BrainStim is here to support you.

Stress doesn’t always end when the situation does.

For many veterans, it continues in the way the brain stays alert even in safe environments.

This is why experiences like disrupted sleep, constant vigilance, or feeling disconnected aren’t just stress.

They reflect how deeply the brain has adapted over time.

PTSD and chronic pain are often linked through the same stress-response system not separate conditions, but connected patterns.

At Brainstim Health, this understanding is shaping how we approach care.

Through the ANCHOR Trial, we are exploring advanced neuromodulation as a way to support both PTSD and chronic pain by targeting how the brain responds

This Stress Awareness Month - we’re moving beyond coping toward meaningful change!

You followed the plan.
Medication. Adjustments. Time.

And still, no meaningful improvement.

This may be treatment-resistant depression (TRD), where standard antidepressants are not enough.

Up to 1 in 3 people experience this, often alongside PTSD, anxiety, and chronic pain, especially in veterans and first responders.

Because depression isn’t one pathway, treatment needs to go beyond one approach.

Research is now exploring new ways to target the brain more effectively.

Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (dTMS) is an advanced, non-invasive brain stimulation therapy used in the treatment of conditions such as major depressive disorder PTSD and OCD.

Unlike traditional approaches, dTMS reaches deeper brain structures involved in mood regulation and cognitive processing, helping target the neural circuits associated with these conditions.

It is often considered for individuals experiencing severe symptoms or when other treatments have not provided sufficient improvement.

Some people report noticing changes in areas such as mood, motivation, focus, and daily functioning during the course of treatment.

Learn more about dTMS at BrainStim Clinic.

When medication and traditional therapy are not enough, advanced treatment options may help.

Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (Deep TMS) is a non invasive, drug free treatment that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate areas of the brain responsible for mood regulation. This therapy is designed to support individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD, and PTSD.

Deep TMS can reach deeper brain structures, which may provide stronger and longer lasting effects, especially for individuals who have not experienced sufficient improvement with other treatments.

Key highlights of Deep TMS therapy:
• Non invasive and drug free treatment
• Targets brain regions involved in mood regulation
• Designed to reach deeper brain structures
• Studied for conditions such as depression, OCD, anxiety, and PTSD
• Sessions conducted in a comfortable clinical setting

At BrainStim, we focus on evidence informed mental health care, combining advanced neuroscience with personalized treatment to support long term mental wellness.

Book a consultation to learn if Deep TMS may be the right option for you.
