You won’t see this ever again in stores. I wrote a post about this helpful product, thinking it was all natural and amazing! The reason it worked so well was because Health Canada found traces of Zopiclone, a sleeping aide, in the formula that U-Dream. That was disappointing to learn but it explains why, if taken for an extended period of time, it had a rebound effect. My ND prescribes Zopiclone for people who have sleeping difficulties, to be used judiciously I’m sure, but it provides a little oasis when you have had a bought of insomnia.
For an improved night’s sleep try a warm 20 minute bath with a full box of baking soda added and a tablespoon of coconut oil. Light candles, diffuse a calming essential oil. Louise Hay sells an online album called Self Healing, Creating your health. Listen to it; it’s fabulous .... inspirational. Make her guided meditation the last thing you do before turning out your light. You can even fall asleep while listening, your subconscious brain will registered what she says.

I’m on day 17 of my Whole30 experiment. That’s correct, I’m eating animal protein every day for 30 days, sometimes twice a day. It’s an interesting elimination diet plan where only vegetables, meat, fish, eggs, nuts, seeds and fruit are eaten. One hundred percent dairy, gluten, grain, bean, peanut free. It is also free from any sweetener even if it is considered healthy such as stevia, honey, monk fruit, maple syrup and all additives such as guar gum, Gellan Gum. How do I feel? Well, all my sugar cravings have disappeared. That’s great. Bloating and gas has also disappeared. That’s the positive news. I did experience some detox symptoms .... the biggest cold sore outbreak I have had in about 30 years!
There is no deprivation going on in this breakfast!

Avocado
Green onions
Broccoli florets minced
Crispy fried eggs
Olive oil, ACV, Dijon mustard dressing

One more thing I do for sleep .... and then I’ll post the herbal sleep potion that seems to work for everyone! Before I go to sleep, this can be done in bed or anywhere, anytime for that matter. It is called Emotional Freedom Technique, also known as EFT, or tapping. Do not underestimate the power of this practice. It is very effective. I am going to talk about a faster method, tapping on fewer meridian points. In the traditional method there are 9 points. You will only tap on four. It is just like the name says, faster and brings instant results. If you are not familiar with EFT you can research it, just google either Nick Ortner or look at one of my older postings where I posted a video of Nick demonstrating it. In this faster method you tap between and outside the eyebrow, under the eye, collarbone and then take hold of your wrist by wrapping your hand around the other wrist, inhale deeply and exhale, finishing with saying “peace”. This is what I say while doing it. Note that every forward slash indicates tapping on the next meridian point.
Let it go, I let go of all my negative thoughts/ my worries, my doubts/ I let go of my anxieties, my self criticism/ I let go of my judgments, I let it all go ..... hold wrist, inhale, exhale ..... say“peace” Repeat as many times as you need to; add the things that you need to let go. You can do a final round and say, I fill my body with trust, I embrace trust/ I put my trust in the universe, and my body/ trust fills every atom in my body, I trust/ I trust that everything was and is just as it needs to be ..... hold wrist, inhale and exhale and say “peace”. The positive wording I pieced together when Jessica Ortner interviewed Iyanla Vanzant during the recent online tapping summit. And check out the wee bird that Gwen tucked into bed. She is such a wonderful little mother to all her animals and bird friends.
