The Ministry of Health has directed the following four regulatory health colleges to amalgamate to form a new, multi-profession college on June 28, 2024:

- College of Chiropractors of BC
- College of Massage Therapists of BC
- College of Naturopathic Physicians of BC
- College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of BC

This amalgamation is part of the Ministry of Health’s multi-year initiative to modernize BC’s health profession regulatory framework. The four colleges will continue to regulate health professionals until they amalgamate on June 28, 2024. If, before this day, you have questions or concerns about the regulation of any of these health professions, please contact the appropriate college directly.

RMTs, your registration renewal is due on Monday, Dec. 15 at 4:30 pm, if you want to avoid incurring a late fee. If you renew between December 16 and December 31, you will be required to pay an additional late fee of $100.

Your contact information in the College’s registry allows the public and insurers to locate you in the event they need to contact you.

A registrant must notify the college of any changes of address, name, or any other registration information.

Make sure to verify their license to practise before your next visit to the chiropractor, naturopathic physician, registered massage therapist, traditional Chinese medicine practitioner or acupuncturist.

You can do so by accessing the license verification tool. The results displayed will let you know of the health professional’s registration status (full/active/practising, inactive/non-practising, student, or suspended) and will advise if there are any limitations on their practice: https://cchpbc.ca/public/practitioner-search/
