The Ministry of Health has directed the following four regulatory health colleges to amalgamate to form a new, multi-profession college on June 28, 2024:

- College of Chiropractors of BC
- College of Massage Therapists of BC
- College of Naturopathic Physicians of BC
- College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of BC

This amalgamation is part of the Ministry of Health’s multi-year initiative to modernize BC’s health profession regulatory framework. The four colleges will continue to regulate health professionals until they amalgamate on June 28, 2024. If, before this day, you have questions or concerns about the regulation of any of these health professions, please contact the appropriate college directly.

Attention RMTs: This year, you must renew your registration by Monday, December 15, 2025, at 4:30pm to avoid incurring a late fee. If you renew between December 16 and December 31, you will be required to pay an additional late fee of $100.

This year, the College will be closed from Dec 25 to Jan 1 inclusive. During this time, a limited number of College staff will be available to provide only urgent support. You will still be able to access the registrant portal during this time.

Make sure to verify their license to practise before your next visit to the chiropractor, naturopathic physician, registered massage therapist, traditional Chinese medicine practitioner or acupuncturist.

You can do so by accessing the license verification tool. The results displayed will let you know of the health professional’s registration status (full/active/practising, inactive/non-practising, student, or suspended) and will advise if there are any limitations on their practice: https://cchpbc.ca/public/practitioner-search/

Naturopathic Physicians:

Naturopathic Doctors must complete at least 40 continuing education (CE) hours along with a self-review and peer review by December 31, 2025, as part of the Quality Assurance Program.

Registrants are encouraged to finish and upload their CE credits to the registrant portal (ROSS) early to meet the two-year cycle requirement.

The Origins of Our Logo: The Iconic Twin Peaks

For our logo, we wanted to reference the landscape and territory that hold deep meaning for local Indigenous Peoples. The twin peaks referenced are two mountain summits visible from Vancouver, British Columbia. In Squamish culture, the peaks are known as Ch'ích'iyúy Elx̱wíḵn (pronounced chee-chay-yuh ayhl-kweekh-n), which translates to "The Twin Sisters."

Registered Massage Therapists:

Completion of the Practice Development Program by October 31, 2025, is required to renew registration in November.

Incomplete PDPs will result in renewal blocks and a non-compliance fee, in accordance with CCHPBC Bylaws.
